It's clue as a social deduction game like werewolf or resistance Avalon
This game is great, and I love the components choice of having the publicly known character be an envelope while the hidden role of whether they are good or evil or conspiracy leader as a card that goes in the envelope itself. Most games where you have a publicly known persona or identity but also a hidden alignment like good or evil will just have two separate cards so as an innovation in usage of components, this is really impressive and handy .The game is great and it takes most of the thematic workings of clue itself and spins it into kind of a sequel of that game thematically where this happens after that game takes place and this is about a conspiracy to enact or prevent a murder rather than merely a deduction of a murder that's already taken place which happened at body mansion. In terms of thematics, this feels a little bit like it borrows somewhat from glass onion as well.In terms of gameplay, it only has some similarity to original clue in as much as everyone is playing one of the basic characters and there is deduction elements and process of elimination elements with figuring out some things, but overall it is a new game that is in the resistance Avalon category of social deduction games that are slightly more complex than simply mafia or werewolf but still quite simple and fun and just a step above party games in terms of complexity but much lighter than many other more serious gamer focused games.I also want to address one of the one star comments I saw that didn't really offer much in the way of specific critique except how much they hated it but not really why with the exception of citing that it took 20 minutes for four players to get through the rules and set up the game for the first time. So I want to note that I'm not sure if that person has much experience with hobby games or tabletop games generally besides the very well-known and classic 20th century ones or party games, both of which I like, but I just would like to admonish that person and everyone else to have kind of an open mind that in the broader range of more complex hobby games and tabletop games, including party ones, this is not an overly complex game nor is it a difficult game to learn. It's certainly going to take more time to learn a game than to play a game that you already know all the rules to by heart because perhaps you started learning them around the same time you started learning to talk, like how many of us were with Clue or Monopoly etc. But the fact that this is a new game and for four adults it took 20 minutes to get the game set up and learn the rules from scratch the first time, this is a very modest and small and light footprint as far as set up time and rules complexity when we are talking about clearly four non-hobby gamers playing and learning a game for the very first time. For that purpose and for the amount of fun you get, 20 minutes as a one-time first game only rules learning and set up session is not a big ask and certainly not big enough to warrant calling the game trash that should be flushed down the toilet. I just want to note that because I'm concerned that that review was written in haste rather than with sober reflection and thoughtfulness.

Clue With A twist
This was a very fun version of Clue. The quality of the contents were good and the price was reasonable. It was a little challenging to learn, but not unreasonably so. I think we watched a YouTube video after reading the instructions which always helps.

Such a fun game for friends and family.
Decided to get this for my aunt for Christmas. She loved it. We played the game sometime later and it was a blast. After a game or two it is pretty easy to understand. It’s cool how there are also two traitors in the group. The design of the box and game are wonderful. I will say that this would likely be a game meant for kids 13 or older given how the game is played and the rules involved. Young kids might get confused or bored easily. Good value for the price. Keep instructions on you, watch the video, and go through a round with trail and error.

Confusing at first, but a good game.
I'm not going to lie, at first we had no idea how to play this game. It took us a long time time and a full play through to fully understand what we were supposed to do. We are big Clue players (original game) so we thought this sounded like a fun twist on the very straightforward original. There are just so many directions to grasp. After we made a whole bunch of mistakes on our first playthrough and re-read the directions about 5 times, we finally got it. Once you get it, the game is actually really fun!I would still recommend this game. It is very different than what you would expect for a Clue-type game but once you get the hang of it, it is fun and competitive. Just know that you will have to go through the directions carefully and probably play through it once to fully understand it!

EXTREMELY FUN!
I just don’t know how to say how awesome this game is, I bought it to play with my family for thanksgiving and people kept wanting to play it again and again, it was amazing! I will say it takes a little while to figure out how to play but after you’ve played it once it’s really easy and simple, it can play 4-10 players so it’s great for a big group and the roles swap every time so you have new suspects, I think it’s very reasonably priced for the product and the fun my family and I had.The only downside I see is it’s not created for young kids I think only kids ages 9+ would easily understand it.Definitely Recommend!!!

Lots of rules. Not for young kids.
This game is almost so difficult it’s not very fun and there are holes in the rules that make you question certain situations. M it’s an opinion but it’s just not that much fun and we love clue and the clue escape rooms.

Fun and replayed game
This is a fun and easy to play who do it game. It plays similar to werewolf's at night but this is more fun. It is aimed more for adults then kids.

Very hard to earn
Ok clue is my very most favorite game ever! This will be fun, I think, once you learn how to play it, that’s the problem there is a 15 minute YouTube video to help learn. My family tried but just couldn’t get into it. With a dedicated group of players I think it would be great! But just for a new group of all new people not so much. So that’s what my review is based off of. I haven’t found that group of dedicated players to play it! Seems like a good game, board and set up seems very thoughtful. Be prepared to spend time learning.
