Bell Sports 7015891 Standard Bicycle Kick Stand

We needed a kickstand after removing training wheels from my 7 year olds 18" Monster High Bike (excellent girls bike and purchase from Amazon). This item is perfect and easy to add to any bike in it's size catagory, price is extemely reasonable and ease of installation is excellant. A Must when needed. Cannot find in your common (all purpose) sports or excersize departments store merchandise. Believe it or not a kickstand is definately not a common item anymore! Bicycle stores sell them at premium + prices(rediculous), also if bought elsewhere precise size of parts is needed. This item from Amazon is a no brainer, just need to select size of bike intended for.

We had to return this. The hinge was unbelievably tight. My husband even tried using a vice gripe to move it, there's no way it would loosen up.

Easy to install. Fit on the default setting on my son's 16 inch bike. A bit on the heavy side because of the sleeve design. A little hard to fold / set for my 5 year old son. Great value.

Worked fine. Easy to install and adjust.

It is WAY too stiff. It is unusable. Strongly recommend against getting one of these until they fix that problem.

Got this from w mart over the weekend...hadn't read the reviews. Turned out soooo funny. I installed it quite easily but found it was very stiff to operate. My 5 year old had such a hard time working it. First he tried with hands, couldn't do it. Then he started pushing with his foot, didn't budge. The he started kicking it back with the side of his foot...first time he lost the balance and the bike fell on the other side LOL. Now he was determined to learn how to do it, instead of riding his bike he started to practice kicking the stand back and forth :) I remembered the instructions said something about lubrication so i sprayed some WD-40 on it. It started working so easily now he was having fun flicking it back and forth. Now the plastic end piece just flew off :) I told him to just remove it and keep it at home but he was reluctant. I applied some super glue to the inside of the end cap and replaced it - its not going anywhere now.

Lost the screw that adjusts the kickstand. Contacted manufacturer and they said they didn't have this part to replace for me. Basically unusable.
