Have not had the chance to use it Yet, But Pliers Feel and Look Well Built
These Pliers Look & Feel Solid, No Sloppiness in the movement, Nice Thick Metal and messing around with them i could not get them to flex, though i was not trying To Strength Test them or nothing like that, I bought these for some upcoming wrenching that i have to do where i need to remove some lines. Depends how the wrenching goes i may have to come back and Raise or Lower my Star ratings but from first impressions with these pliers i think i will have to come back and Raise my Star Ratings.

I am a huge fan of the great content offered by Youtubers- Free. Use this tool, shipped fast, at a reasonable price, once and it will more than pay for itself. This is how DIYers fill garages- Cluttered, but all paid for- Go for it. If one man can do it, so can you. youtube it!

Absolutely required for Automotive A/C repair
Used on 'push fit' tubing on automotive airconditioning. These fittings are sometimes very troublesome and quite hard to work with. These pliers makes the job much easier and can save hours of hasseling in separating and re-joining these spring loaded fittings. GREAT TOOL to perform the job in a minute!

Great if it fits.
The product was easy to use, but it won't work with larger sizes. I have limited hand strength, so I needed this replace an a/c pressure hose on a Ram truck. The problem is that one end is 7/8" outer diameter and the gap opening isn't nearly large enough. Worked okay on smaller sizes, but Lisle doesn't say what sizes it will fit. Had to have someone remove one end of hose because of my limited hand strength and the fact this did not fit around the hose.

Works as described on 1\2" lines and below, but not on large AC Lines
Some of the quick disconnect fittings can be pretty difficult to get off. I find it frustrating to burn a lot of time trying to get them to release, which is why I bought this tool. I struggled with some 5\8 and 3\4 AC lines for some time before I was able to get them off. This tool description clearly states it will fit the 5\16, 3\8., and 1\2 sizes, I used it on a 1\2 AC line and it worked perfectly. Had it off in 10 seconds! Where I really needed it was on the larger lines, as they were the ones I found the most difficult to remove. The opening in the jaws fits the smaller size lines, but are not adjustable for the larger sized lines and cannot be used. I Will use this on Fuel lines and based on how it worked with the 1\2" AC line I expect it will work as expected and speed thinks up. Too bad it will not work with the larger lines.

I recently did some work on my 5.7L Hemi. I had a terrible time trying the get the fuel line off the fuel rail. I had a nice set of quick disconnect tools and bought another set to see if that would help. No matter what I did I couldn't get the line off. This tool allowed me to get the required amount of force on the QD tool and pull the line off at the same time. After getting the line off I took a look at it and found that the inlet pipe on the fuel rail was bent. That's why I had so much trouble getting it off. If your fuel rail is in good shape and it's straight, you might not need this tool. For me, I'm glad I have this tool in my toolbox and would recommend it to anyone that has trouble getting and QD lines disconnected.

Make Quick Connect Disconnect
The 50's Kid sent me here. Performing a power steering line refresh on my 2001 BMW E46 3 Series and this simple little tool from Lisle made the job just that much easier. Honesty, not sure how I would have gotten the quick connect hose off with it. It's paid for itself after 1 job in my opinion. Solid construction. My only regret is not ordering the Lisle CV Boot pliers at the same since one of the replacement hoses uses CV Boot style clamps...

did not work for me on my 2010 BMW 328xi fuel coupling...too big
I purchased this to help me remove a stubborn fuel connector on my 2010 BMW 328xi during a starter replacement. as I don't have much strength in my fingers to squeeze the connector anymore The original blue plastic sleeve was broken and brittle so I removed it and replaced it with a Leslie insert. When I tried to squeeze the connector with these pliers. I found they were too big. I tried to use shims to fill in the gap between the two ears but the whole assembly was then too unstable. Ended up using my fingers to finally disengage the connector. So in conclusion, they did not work for me. But I kept it because it might be useful someday for another application. I also wish it had a spring return.
