A Pleasant Surprise - The EDC Winner
The Kizer Cormorant has become my favorite EDC knife (in record time.) Here are the boxes it checks: - button lock! (something besides liner/frame lock) - super smooth action (bearings and detent are on point) - scratches every deployment itch I have (front, thumb, reverse, back and button) !!!!!!! - unbelievable price for S35VN steel !!!!!! - grippy G10 scales - perfect carry size (very capable, not going to freak anyone out) The ONLY thing I wish was different, is the design on the scales. I honestly didn't find any of the Cormorant models where I preferred the design or colors. But it is a minor thing. This knife has won out as my EDC against the following: - Kershaw Shuffle DIY (love the drivers, but little else) - Kizer C01C Mini S35VN Raffir (such a great blade design and steel, meh liner lock) - Kizer Sparrow S35VN Titanium (love this knife, but "ok" flipper and meh frame lock, wicked reverse flick though) - Kizer HIC_CUP Micarta 154CM (GREAT knife, a close second to the Cormorant, but action not as smooth and no back flipper) - CIVIVI Elementum Nitro-V Wharncliffe G10 (light and SHARP, meh liner lock, weak flipper, bleh thumb stud) - OKNIFE Rubato 2 EDC 154CM Micarta (amazing knife, shape, steel and crossbar lock, feels great opening, wish had other than thumb stud) - Vosteed Raccoon Cleaver Micarta 14C28N (light, sharp, good-looking, corssbar lock, a "good" knife) - CJRB Pyrite Titanium Wharncliffe Button Lock AR-RPM9 (great "gentlemen's" office knife, titanium, thin, great for slacks, sticky button lock) - Miguron M Keryx Green Micarta 14C28N (high value and low cost, GREAT blade shape and steel, sharp, "thunky" opener, satisfying, meh liner lock)

Just perfect
I own both the G10 and titanium version. Both are perfect with no button stick and just such smooth crisp action once I broke them in just a little. I then took apart cleaned and lightly oiled the bearings and button lock assembly and they are perfection. Easy disassembly. While the G10 is great and grippy the titanium just feels next level solid and premium with even better grip. They both are easy carry. You don’t realize they’re in your pocket. Blade isn’t too big or too small. Perfect, EDC knives. However, the G10 is easy to customize, and my teenage daughter chose very dark purple rit dye with glitter paint highlights. She loves it. I would recommend a little blue Loctite on the G10 version since the button is a screw on, to keep it from loosening up. Other than that, I just run some Teflon tape on the pivot screws like I do with all my knives , so that way I can fine tune the action and it stays there. These are the best fidget knife’s ever. Blade has zero play on both. Centered and razor sharp. Button is silky smooth. I can’t say enough good things. I own several knives but the Kizers, they have all been rock solid. I’ve been using mine every day and it runs flawless. It’s the only knife in my pocket anymore. It’s an amazing front flipper, better than my dedicated front flippers like the hiccup once you get the hang of it. My rear flipper is snappier than my assassin. The blade shape works perfect for everything I need it to. It’s really the only knife I carry anymore. Maybe I just got lucky but the two I got run like a dream. They’re both just so snappy and drop shutty. I’m going to pick up a third one.

Most comfortable and fun EDC knife I’ve used. Checks all boxes.
The presentation out of the box was beautiful, setting the stage for what turned out to be an outstanding knife. First and foremost, the size of this knife is perfect for EDC. It strikes the ideal balance between being compact enough to carry comfortably, yet substantial enough to handle a wide range of tasks. Whether I need to open packages, cut through ropes, or perform other everyday tasks, this knife is always up to the challenge. The blade shape and sharpness right out of the box impressed me greatly. The S35VN steel not only provides exceptional edge retention but also ensures durability, making it a reliable companion for various cutting needs. The fact that it came razor-sharp out of the box was a pleasant surprise, and it has maintained its sharpness remarkably well. One of the standout features of this knife is its G10 scales. Not only do they provide an excellent grip, but they also add a touch of class and contemporary style to the overall design. It's refreshing to have a knife that not only performs flawlessly but also looks great while doing so. However, what truly sets this knife apart is its button lock design. Opening and closing the knife is an absolute joy. The smooth swinging motion and the absence of any wobble or play give it a sense of quality craftsmanship. It feels solid in hand and inspires confidence in its performance. Beyond its functionality, this knife has become my go-to fidget tool. Its satisfying mechanism and addictive feel make it hard to put down. I was so enamored with this knife that I ended up purchasing multiple designs to add variety to my collection. This folding knife is undoubtedly the most comfortable and fun EDC knife I've had the pleasure of using. It effortlessly checks all the boxes, from its perfect size and versatile blade to the classy-contemporary G10 scales and the superb button lock design. If you're in the market for a high-quality, reliable, and visually appealing knife, look no further.
