Made of really nice cork that is well finished, not stinky and does the job it was made to do. I just got done using this on an acoustic that I was doing a full fret end job on. After touching up the ends with a little Japanese made fret end file, I have a technique where I use a rotary tool, blue tape and some various fret guarts to polish the fret ends that leaves them nicely parabolic, polished and smooth. This sturdy and stable neck rest made this quite tedious job... still tedious but much safer and with a feeling of much more confidence in getting the job done without messing up the fretboard, binding or the finish on the guitar neck. I should have got one of these years ago.
