Not the best if you're working with sugar as it takes time to show the temperature, and sometimes it suddenly jumps up. It's also not easy if you need to multi-task. (e.g. heat sugar and whisk egg whites at the same time!) Mine also randomly jumps between celsius and Fahrenheit which is annoying.

I didn't have an instant thermometer before but I thought they should be ...instant! this one needs some time to get up to temp and if you have your kettles lid off, you need it to be fast. I mean its ok but maybe I should have bought a better one.

It is pretty good. Value for money. Am not sure how accurate it is. I am using it for matcha tea and am happy enough.

Excellently designed piece of kitchen equipment. I bought it for testing whether home-baked bread was ready, but I know I will use it for all sorts of other cooking occasions. Great product. I had one in my old apartment but couldn't bring it with me when I moved. As soon as I was settled in and cooking again, I got one of these. Great help when cooking. Easy to use, easy to read, easy to clean. Would definitely recommend.

Great price of equipment - easy to use and accurate. Takes 2 AAA batteries not supplied but was a godsend on Christmas Day to check the turkey, even my next door neighbour borrowed it. Use it all the time now to check food is the right temp for serving.
