A full featured minimalist RFIC blocking wallet
I received my Umoven RFID blocking minimalist Wallet yesterday and have been carrying it all day today in my back pocket. I am writing only about my first impressions because I obviously cannot comment upon its durability yet. I may eventually update this review with durability comments when I have used it for a sufficient period of time. I am also only rating it against other RFID blocking minimalist wallets based upon features. I cannot comment upon how effective the RFID blocking sleeve is because I have no way of testing its effectiveness. Thus, the 5 stars I have given it is only based upon comparison of features and usability when compared to other minimalist RFID blocking wallets. If I were comparing it to regular traditional full featured leather wallets, I would only be able to give it 2 or 3 stars as explained below. The Umoven wallet has a really good feature set for these types of wallets. It can hold up to 6 RFID credit cards within the RFID blocking metal sleeve. The cards can be ejected upward by a spring-loaded lever on the side of the wallet. The cards are ejected in such a way that the cards are at uneven levels. That allows you to easily distinguish between the cards so that you can select the card that you want. That is a definite improvement over the minimalist wallets that require you to push the cards out. There are a few slots on the outside of the RFID blocking metal sleeve for non-RFID cards. There is also a window for your drivers license just like regular wallets. The leather flap that encloses the drivers license is held closed by magnetism. There are no additional slots under the leather flap for credit cards, but there is one on the back of the flap. Users should be careful about putting the older credit cards with the magnetic strip in the slot on the back of the flap because the magnetic flap closure might demagnetize the magnetic strip on the credit card. So, your metal strip credit cards can be slid into slots on the back behind the metal RFID blocking sleeve. Non-RFID chip cards can be stored anywhere in the wallet since they will not be affected by the magnetic flap closure. There is also a removable metal clip on the back of the wallet for some paper money (or for clipping the wallet to your pocket if you prefer). The wallet comes with a small screw driver for loosening the metal sleeve if for some reason the cards get jammed inside and cannot be extracted by the spring-loaded lever. The company did not provide any additional screws like some other minimalist wallet companies do. Hopefully, none of the screws become loose and fall out. If so, you would be out of luck. The pros of this wallet are that it has a window for your drivers license that is inside of a leather flap, an injector button to eject the RFID credit cards stored in the metal sleeve, slots on the outside for non-RFID cards, a money clip for paper money, and seemingly good build quality (note: the build quality looks very good, but only time will tell how well it holds up).The biggest con is that it is a minimalist wallet to begin with. If you carry more than 6 RFID credit cards, and/or you carry lots of other types of cards (e.g. chip credit cards, magnetic strip credit cards, insurance cards, various types of identification cards, rewards cards, etc., etc., etc.) you will have to make do with the slots available or leave many of them at home when you go out. You will also not be able to make notes on paper and store the notes in your wallet because there is no place to store them in any minimalist wallet. In my wallets I would frequently stash notes on paper in various places. With this wallet that will be a thing of the past. Also, you will only be able to carry a small amount of paper money (i.e. only an amount that can be fitted under the metal clip). If you like to carry a lot of paper money, there is no place to put it in any minimalist wallet. Of course, as with most wallets, there is also no place to put any coins.I did not find that having this wallet in my back pocket to be a problem. There are complaints about wallets with metal clips on them that they are impractical for back pockets because the clip either digs into you or into the chair. I did not find that to be a problem. This wallet feels fine in my back pocket because it is small enough to ride up far enough so that I am not sitting on it.Another comment that applies to all RFID blocking wallets is whether they are truly needed in the first place. RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. Scanners read the account information via RF from a chip in the credit card. The distance range that the credit card has to be to a credit card scanner is within an inch or two. Whether people carrying RFID scanners in public places can successfully extract account information by just walking by you is debated by the experts. Even so, it probably is a good idea to block the RF signals when carrying RFID credit cards, and I believe that this wallet will do that effectively.

Broke but Great Service and Replacement Sent Fast
Purchased this wallet about a year and a half ago. Something broke in the mechanism that holds and lifts the cards, which I’m really not surprised because it’s heavily used. However, I held onto the original packaging that had their customer support information. When I reached out, they asked for the order #, info about what was wrong, and a video showing what was broken or malfunctioning. Once they reviewed in a day or two, they asked for my address to send a new one, free of charge. It was a great experience and makes me want to purchase more products from this company. Thank you for standing behind your product and making this process easy!

Great wallet
I love this wallet. It covers all my needs. Small enough for front pocket carry has nice card placement. The card holder mechanism works great with smooth cards. I haven’t tried embossed cards. It also came with a lifetime warranty, which I didn’t notice it had. That was a pleasant surprise. Real leather and it looks nice, maybe goat leather, looks and feels durable.

Good wallet, just thicker/bulkier
Bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He was in desperate need of a new wallet and had picked this out and put it on his wishlist. He says he really likes it, but feels like it's quite a bit thicker/bulkier than his usual wallet. He likes that it feels safer though and said it would just take him getting used to it.

So much better than the Ridge
I am very impressed with this wallet. I previously had Ridge wallet, but it was really frustrating to get cards in and out. I was concerned that this wallet would hold all of the cards I carry, but they do. I put some of the lesser used cards in the outer slots, and the frequently ones in the pop up compartment. The mechanism works really well and I've never had any trouble using it. I also really like that I can have my ID separated for easy access. The only downside is it is bigger than the Ridge, but I no longer have to double fold bills in the money clip to match the size of the wallet.

Nice wallet, but not for me
I do not normally write reviews, but I have had this wallet for over a year, and have a few issues with it.I wanted a slim wallet that held only a few cards, and some cash. This will do that, if you only have a few bills to stick in the clip. I had put 10 bills folded in half held with the clip, when I pulled it out one of the bills got caught and ripped.Having the button to push your cards out is a nice feature, but sometimes it feels harder to sort through those cards than to find the card in a traditional wallet. Those are issues I could deal with. I am writing this review for the sole reason that my cards have started to wear out when I keep them on the outside slots. I had to replace a card months ago, because the edge was so torn up it would not sit right in the slot to read my chip. I did not know how it happened, until I have noticed my new card is doing it as well. After time of pulling your cards out, they will start to get torn up on the edges. Let alone if you have any cash in the clip, good luck getting the card out that’s behind it.I’ve used this wallet for over a year and have enjoyed it. It is good quality, and a nice wallet. I’m sure for some people it is a good fit, comfortable, and a good value for their money. I believe that it does not suit my needs anymore, and has caused me minor inconveniences; enough to want to try another wallet.
