The start of something great
These days I am not normally one for heavily religious based books, despite the fact that in the past I have dedicated much time into studying various religions and myths, but the idea of a book told from Lucifer's perspective piqued my interest and I am so glad I picked it up.Within is creation from the dawn on time, proceeding forward, from this fresh unique perspective the author fills in many of the gaps I always felt passed over with some very interesting, insightful, and imaginative ideas.By going into too any details I feel I could detract from the reader's experience, but I will say this, the ending of this book gives a slight insight into what is to come as the series continues, and quite honestly I am looking forward to seeing how it develops. Here you have the ultimate battle of good vs evil, and although some of the stories may seem familiar, the manner in which they have been told is anything but the norm.I have already gifted a copy of this work to a friend who I think will find it as fresh and unique as I have. The book can easily be read in a single sitting if you have an hour or so to spare, and trust me, you'll want to keep turning those pages.

Divine reading
A compelling, atmospheric treat for the senses. I devoured the novel in a single sitting and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. The divine drama is beautifully-depicted, and, at times, we can almost feel sorry for the spurned arch-villain at the heart of the narrative. Similarly, the obvious hero - God - is far from blameless and is almost human in his characterisation.Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this story
I enjoyed this story. I did think the reader needed some biblical knowledge to get the best out of it, hence 4 stars. Overall I would highly recommend it.

Great Read
As the product of a full-blown Catholic upbringing myself I can sympathise with the author; although I sense I had the better of it. My young world was very different; I was allowed TV, lots of books I choose for myself and encouraged by my nuns at school, educating young ladies meant to converse with the world, I could discuss, argue and learn about other religions and without hate. No hate; imagine that. No hate; make your own mind up girls. I didn't much like the God it portrayed but the movement of Christianity was fine with me, its basics worth following and it's stayed I am glad to say. My ideas of God have moved on many, many millennia from the start of the present 3 monotheistic religions, wherever and whenever that was and it cannot be searched for in the written word alone for that is too recent and too corrupted. This prequel of a vampire series sets out the old bible stories pretty much as they are in the present day bible with those re-added books (taken out when they didn't suit). In a way I wish he'd gone back to the original older angels, real creatures of myth almost unformed, but I suppose we all start where we feel comfortable. As a woman, I still find the Adam and Eve fable highly offensive, but that is not the author's fault, it is the way of it at present, hopefully, one day before we are gone we might find forgiveness between the sexes, but some men are full of fear. I can see where he is going with this and I am sure the Vampire books will be as well-written and well researched as the prequel.

ONCE READ, NEVER FORGOTTEN!
I have just finished reading THE LAMB OF GOD by Shane K P O'Neill, a prequel to the LUCIFER AGENDA SERIES, and it was not what I expected at all. It was a riveting, unforgettable read. Easily devoured in one sitting.Although this story is fiction you can see the research that went into writing this as the biblical account of the Creation and Crucifixion are indeed fact. But this is in no way a bible story you are familiar with. The Author has entwined fact with fiction and written a spell binding account of these events through the eyes of Lucifer. You are taken into a fantasy world of heaven and earth where angels walk among mortal man and even the building of Noah's Ark and The Flood take on a whole new meaning. The Author talks of God or Higher Power, depending on your faith, with the highest respect. He is as an all knowing, caring and loving being, disappointed by the failures of mankind sending his son to pay the ultimate price. When you read the detailed description of The Lamb of God being nailed to the cross, seen through Lucifer's eyes, the Author paints a picture you can actually visualise and one you have never read before.I was curious to see how this story would eventually lead onto the tales of vampires. I was not disappointed. The battle between good and evil and Lucifer's quest to seek revenge brings a new twist to the story. Not to give away any spoilers, but it is at this moment that you see how this amazing writer has linked us through to his upcoming series. If this prequel is a sample of things to come in the Lucifer Agenda Series I am definitely going to add these to my list of pre-ordered books.

A different take on an age old story
This sneak peek into what looks to be an amazing series is going to have readers eagerly waiting for me. Beginning before the creation of man, readers are taken into the lives of angels and archangels. Following Lucifer from the beginning of man to when Jesus gives his life to save them, Someone always is there and the authors gives readers an insight into what an archangel might feel like when men are given more than he, who should be The Father's favorite. There is much more going on in this short tale but eventually the story is going to take readers into a different realm of blood thirsty suspense.

The Lamb of GodA Prequel to the Lucifer Agenda Seriesby Shane KP O’NeillThis is my first read of Author Shane KP O’Neill’s work. The first half of the book reminded me of the classics, Paradise Lost/John Milton and The Screw Tape Letters/C.S. Lewis—not so much because of the style of writing but because of the theme of this particular piece, Satan’s perceived rule of the planet and all its humanness. The second half takes on filling in the story with creative imagination, well done and entertaining.Shane O’Neill starts at the perceived beginning of what we might call the universe and the onset of our Creator’s creation. He does a great job filling in the Bible’s blanks with a believable story of how Lucifer’s life begins and takes a gnarly turn for the worse all due to those damned humans God created in his likeness, Adam and Eve. The story carries through to the crucifixion of Jesus and quickly summarizes how Christianity’s religion was built from that point leading to war and chaos between other religions culminating with Lucifer finding his perfect vessel to continue the instigation of his heinous plan for the world.I respect Mr. O’Neill for tackling religious subject matter and making The Lamb of God a plausible read for those who would never consider themselves religiously bent. This is a story that anyone can relate to, whether literally or figuratively. He doesn’t demonize Lucifer in the beginning like many would, but towards the end, Lucifer takes on the traditional, artistic body image most forms of media and many people tend to turn him into, the red, scary, horned, dagger-tailed beast, full of pride, ego, and vengeance. Satan in the flesh. This he does creatively as he looks forward to the next book(s) in the series. One thing I will say, again, it isn’t easy taking religious material trying to sway what religious-ese would call, secular, transforming the work into something many would want to read. As a horror writer, with mystical spiritual themes throughout my work, I know this is not a task for the timid.Kudos to Shane KP O’Neill. He has done it. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Such a talented, meticulous writer. This story flows with creativity, turning an old story some have heard or read many times into a fresh and entertaining read. This gives freedom to the reader to enjoy his story without the burden of being ‘slapped on the hand’ for allowing their imagination to turn on dogma.Clearly a creative and interesting writer. I look forward to reading more of his work.5 STARS

A compelling read
I came across this book on my Twitter feed and something caught my eye. I don't quite know what I expected but it certainly wasn't this, and I mean this in a good way. This is an awesome concept and I can't wait to get my teeth into the full series. Told in a creation story style the author weaves together his own creation legend based on many legends and creation stories. I read it in one sitting as the writing compelled me to read on. Superbly written and deftly told.

Dancing with the Devil
A wonderful account that spans prior to the creation of man through the crusades, as told from the point of view of Lucifer. It is such an interesting look at the fall of some of the angels.I loved the way the storytelling style slid through my mind like silk. The best parts were experienced by watching Lucifer go from golden-boy to demon and being able to fully understand how that could happen through jealousy, hubris and misunderstanding. It all becomes a game and humans are the pawns. This novella sets the rest of the series up perfectly and has made me a fan of the author. A marvelous twist on mythology and a promise of more to come. A definite must-read!

A Devilish Agenda...
This is a fairly smooth and quick read. While there were a few typos, they were easily forgiven due to a very smooth and compelling narrative style. Lucifer is the morning star and a favored son of God. This short story spans millennia of the creation through the great flood to the crucifixion. While we have heard these tales before, the adversary's point of view brings us a very different flavor to those tales and the events that bring us Lucifers plan to fight back against Heavenly plans to save man. Well worth the read!

Wow this is a book that barely opens the door, and wets the appetite of the reader for what I'm certain will be a great series. This author clearly did a great job researching scriptures, and putting a unique spin on the events from before creation through events told in the bible. While this may not be everyone's cup of tea, personally I feel that religious fiction/non-fiction readers as well as others seeking a good suspense/mystery/thriller with paranormal undertones could also dive into this series. Well written and executed the author is definitely one to read!

A MUST READ
Being a fan of the subject matter, I found this to be a unique and intriguing slant on the story of creation, and the struggle between God and the devil. Mr. O’Neill utilizes the bible as a basis to spin this riveting story of conflict and blood.A well-written and engaging read, easily applied to the horrific events happening in our world today. I highly recommend this book, and anxiously await the next in the series.

Worth the read.
His writing is very thought-provoking. The book is very well written and it flows easily. You can tell that he is put a lot of time and effort into researching the Scriptures for consistency and accuracy. I will recommend this to my parents who raised us in the Mennonite church. I'm sure they will enjoy it. Fantastic job.

I honestly thought this was an amazing short story
I honestly thought this was an amazing short story. So much so that I went and bought the following book as it wasn't available for download. I'm not a religious man, but I found the story from Lucifers point of view refreshing. I'm a quarter of the way through the following book and can barely put it down .
