Saved out time project
My hubs and I were sick after the tile contractor left, we had a blurry and splotchy finished left on our dark quartzite new entryway tile. We used a Mapei Flexcolor 3D grout and this left the weird residue, or ‘tile grout haze’ as they say in the industry. After researching everything and testing this on a piece of sample tile I was convinced we made the right decision on this product. The tile is now beautiful and no more haze. Keep it from drying and add water and scrub with the white non-scratch scrubbies, the grout residue shows up like wet Elmer’s glue on the tile surface. E voila! See the pics, the before has some of the haze circled in blue. It did take 2 applications and we used up a whole bottle for 96 sq ft entryway. Vinegar wash afterward and then rinse well. Now to seal it. Thanks to everyone one who left helpful reviews!

Works even on 10 year-old epoxy grout haze!
We had always believed our cement/encaustic tiles in the foyer were supposed to be brighter/lighter than they ended up after installation with a dark grout. But, they sat as-is for 10 years before I found this. Now, they're back the way they should have been all along.I applied it with a spinning brush on my drill, let it sit for a while, spun the brush again, and then wiped off. In places, I did multiple treatments, getting better results each time. It not only cleared the grey haze from the main body of the tile, but also got rid of small amounts of excess that hadn't been carefully wiped away from the grout lines. I really recommend the spinning brush as this is something you want really well distributed, and mechanical rubbing seems to help. But on any large surface area, you do NOT want to have to do it by-hand.Surprisingly, there wasn't a terrible smell, like from paint-thinner or acetone, and it didn't really bother my hands.Epoxy grout is some crazy stuff, and our contractor had to scrap an entire shower of ceramic tile because they didn't handle it properly and clean it up fast enough. I had lost hope I could clean the dirty haze from these other tiles, but this stuff does the job. You'll need to be patient and thorough, but you'll get results. (Especially if you use it early.)

Great results
Our tile floor had a strange shiny splotchy finish on them. A tile friend of our recommended we try this stuff and it completely took off the bad finish, the tile looks great now. This is the only product that could take off the old finish/grout haze. Putting this stuff down is easy enough but scraping and cleaning it up is labor intensive. We found after the product has dried that soaking the area with water a few minutes before you clean makes things much easier. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing product 🤩
I had new tile backsplash installed in my kitchen. Contractor was phenomenal however I chose a sparkly grout that was very different than the normal grout and despite all his effort it was DULL and hazy. So I found this and decided why not. Well let me tell you something the tile is now so shiny I can see my reflection! I followed the directions to the letter and it was pretty effortless. I can’t recommend this product enough. I’m now even more in love with my tile.

Smells horrible and doesn't work that well
Applied to all tiles which had epoxy grout haze. Left product on tile for more than 30 min as instructed and then scrubbed with 3M pad... many tiles still had haze! The smell of this product is horrible... you've been warned!

Excellent Product!
See the attached picture. Inside the blue line has the grout haze removed. This is an amazing product and I would highly recommend it if you have grout haze! It takes a lot of scrubbing but its worth every minute. Directions say to use a paint brush to apply and an abrasive pad to scrub it. I would say we got more coverage than what the bottle says. I drizzled some on the floor and took a small paint roller to spread it evenly and that worked great. Make sure you don't leave dry spots when rolling it. It worked great to cover about 40 to 50 Sq ft with Epoxy Off at a time then then wait about 10-15 minutes and cover another area then start scrubbing the first area. Keep rotating areas and you'll be on a roll. I also used the finest grade of steel wool (from Amazon) and I liked that better than the abrasive pad for the first go around. After scrubbing with the steel wool, we wiped up what we could with Terry cloth (from Amazon) then went over it with the abrasive pad (from Amazon) cleaned up some more with Terry cloth and then we washed up the rest of the residue by hand with hot water and white vinegar mixed 50/50. After all of this we mopped the floor with a household degreaser (mixed with water) and then with hot water and vinegar mix again and it looks great. I'm sure there other processes that work too but this worked great for us. If you're afraid of work, then this product isn't for you. If you don't mind using some elbow grease and crawling around on hands and knees then you will be glad you did it!
