ReflectaProScan - film scanner (35 mm)

This a very good product. Not the cheapest however gives great results scanning slides at a reasonable speed. After reading a few reviews on this product I did not use the included scanning software and bought a copy of Silverfast SE. The SE version of Silverfast is very easy to use with this scanner and includes colour correcting filters for Kodachrome. The dust and scratch removal tools in Silverfast work very well in the 200 slides I have scanned so far. It's also worth noting the scanner I received came with a copy of Photoshop Elements 12 which I was not expecting.

My scanner failed with a severe hardware fault after only 1 month of limited use. It seems cheaply made from plastic and the mechanical noises it makes do not inspire confidence. The bundled Cyberview scanning software is of limited use and you will need to buy more capable scanning software (e.g. Silverfast). It does however produce very good scans when you learn how to use it.
