Item too small for oval toilet seat

Initially I thought this was the greatest thing ever. I bought it for my husband so he could use it with his shower chair. But after about four uses the plastic on the seat started to tear. He is only 130 lbs. so it’s certainly not a weight issue. We were so disappointed. I duct taped that side and he continues to use it but don’t know how much longer it will last. Other areas are showing signs of wear.

I purchased it in middle of August, it did not last two months. Total waste of money the plastic rips apart and then cloth seat just socks up everything like a sponge.
