I am pretty close to deaf in my right ear so I ...
For years I have been looking for headphones that I could wear with my hearing aids. I am pretty close to deaf in my right ear so I usually hear almost nothing out of that ear with other headsets. Almost every one that I have tried I usually have to take out the hearing aids to use them. If someone wanted to talk to me then I had to take off the headset and put my hearing aids back in to listen to them. With these on I can hear from the left side and the right side without having to take out my hearing aids. The sound is the best that I have heard in years! Also that means that I can still hear what is being said around me and listen to my music or watch a movie at the same time. If you wear hearing aids then you can understand how great this is.My only complaint is that the cord is very short so if you clip the controller on your shirt then you only have about 33 inches of cord left. I like long cords so I can lean back in my chair and watch movies on my laptop,Considering that I only bought this set as a test and because they were the cheapest set of Bone Conduction Headphones that Amazon had, I am extremely pleased with them. I am so pleased with them that I broke my rule of never doing reviews or surveys and posted this review.

so I feel a bit like I have a small boombox strapped to my head
Transmits sound as much through air as bone, it seems, so I feel a bit like I have a small boombox strapped to my head. "Red" is more like a dark pink or magenta. These are better than earbuds for listening to podcasts while biking (which I only do on bike paths, not in road traffic, for safety reasons) as there's less wind noise and it's easier to hear the surrounding environment. Can't be worn comfortably for as long as conventional headphones. Have an onboard battery that is recharged via USB to boost the audio to be loud enough to hear; that's definitely necessary.

Was happy with them until they stopped working
I used these for running and liked them for the most part. A little tighter fit may have worked, but my hat size is only 7. However, they’ve completely stopped charging and I’ve only had them for 6 months. Not sure if it’s a battery issue or a problem with the charging port. I had not seen a decline in battery life so if it is battery it’s a sudden failure

I loved these, but...
I really loved these headphones. They were everything I was hoping for, but after about a week of light use one side no longer has sound.

Red color choice is actually hot pink
Sound not great, but good for price. I bought red for a male, but the color was hot pink so I kept them and ordered a better pair for the male!

A good surprise for me
A good surprise for me, it works decently though not audiophile sound. I purchased this so I could listen to music while being aware of things around me and its perfect for this.

Wanted to like these, but can't recommend them.
I like the idea of bone conduction headphones. It's cool that you can still hear stuff while listening to something else, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE not having earbuds in my ears. Unfortunately that's about the only good things about these head phones. The fit is awkward. They are not very compatible if you wear glasses, or for wearing over long hair. I feel like i had to tie my hair up every time I used these. You can't really lie down while wearing it because the back goes around your head. If I bump the back of my head against something the headphones move position easily, and they're really only comfortable in the one position. The control box is quite heavy and pulls down on the headphones so you really have to clip it to your collar or something. No indicator for when it needs to be charged, it just stops working. If the sound is too low and I try to turn it up, the vibration against my head feels weird. 6 weeks after I got it the left side no longer works so now I can only hear out of the right side. Maybe a higher end/more expensive set would perform better. I need a corded set of headphones since I listen to the radio on my cellphone and the cord acts as the antennae. Can't really recommend these. :(
