Just what you'd expect!
The other reviewers must not know what "fleece" fabric is. The term is used for sweatpant & sweatshirt material. These aren't pajamas. Fleece, when applied to clothing (non-pajama) items refers to a knitted exterior & a soft, brushed interior. These have the feel of well-made sweatpants, as you'd expect from Champion. As for length, I'm 5'7" and weigh about 118 and they are below the ankle but not under the heel--perfect length. I bought the small because I don't like baggy sweats. These fit snugly around the waist/stomach/butt/upper thigh area--not tightly; just right. I'd buy them even if they did feel a bit tight, because sweats stretch out over time. They are "mid-rise", which means they don't reach your natural waist, but they're not so low you're spilling out over the top or feeling like you have to constantly pull them up. The waistband is not elasticized (which I like) but has a drawstring closure. The one thing I never do with sweats (or t-shirts or knit dresses) is put them in the dryer after washing. I know from experience they will shrink. If you feel they're slightly large and long, then go ahead and put them in the dryer. I always wash them in warm water/cold rinse (like everything), then hang them up to dry. (Use fabric softener in the wash as they'll get static-y if you don't.)Bottom line: they're well-made, nice-fitting, warm & comfortable. What else could you ask from a sweatpant?

Large is big; pilling after one wash
OK, so here's the update after washing and drying (low heat in dryer):I had no problems with shrinking. I think the legs got shorter as I didn't stretch them out while wet, but that's better for me, as they were too long.I've now had them for 10 days or so and worn them several times to relax in the house and walk the dog. A bit disappointed, as they have already pilled in the thigh area. They don't seem to be rubbing there, but there's lots of extra material, so who knows.Theese are comfy enough, warmer than regular cotton, not very flattering, and OK for $15 (current sale price). I wouldn't buy again. They are vegging pants, that I wouldn't be very happy being seen in in public. The drawstring is the only thing that keeps the large from falling off me (despite measuring myself and going off their chart).Original review:Based on the sizing chart I was just into a large. Usually I wear a medium, but after reading the reviews about these running small and snug, I went with the large that corresponded to my measurements. It is big. The waist is drawstring, so it fits fine there, the bum is a bit baggy, but the thigh area is particulalry wide and the legs in general are huge. I can wear them but they have the kind of boyfriend oversized look.Overall, they are a bit thinner than I expected. I imaged fleecey sweats being thicker in the lining so that I can wear them walking the dog in winter, and ordered these with two day shipping, hoping that I'd have cozy dog-walking pants in time for this weekend. Well, it's currently 31 degrees outside and these don't feel warm even in the house today. I will be hitting a local store and looking for some thicker ones tomorrow. All in all, disappointingly thin and large, but I'll keep for around the house and less cold weather, particulalry if they wash well.I am going to wash them and hope they shrink as others have said. I will update after a wash.

Ok First of all these are not all the same pant just different colors. I ordered the dark grey and love them. There is clearly an elastic on the bottom. It goes in a bit but is not tight on the ankle. I ordered a medium which is what I would normally wear in sweats or yoga pants and they fit well, are really flattering and are super soft and comfortable. They look great with a tee and flip flops to be out running errands or something. However for wearing around the house they are too tight. They fit like my jeans would, not loose and slouchy etc. So I ordered the black ones in large. They are still comfortable and are loose fitting and good for around the house. They are not very flattering. They are also not cut the same as the grey ones. The grey ones were more of a tight fit around the hips and upper thigh and then straight down from mid thigh. The black ones are a wider leg and about an inch or two shorter and do not have any type of elastic or "closed bottom" at all. I definitely like the grey ones better. Wish they made the black ones exacty the same.

Most Comfortable Pants I have Ever Owned
I absolutely LOVE these pants! They are soft, heavyweight, and fit perfect (I am about 5'-4" and weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 160 pounds, with a "densely packed" type of build, and I ordered a "large"). When I first got them, they were, as other reviewers stated, very long on me, and I was worried that I would not be able to wear them. However, after throwing them in the wash and the dryer, they shrunk in length to where the bottoms of them just hit the ground when I had my running shoes on. I have washed them a couple of times since, and they didn't continue to shrink, which I was a little concerned about. The waistband is wide and thick enough to have it's own stability (no rolling or other issues), and it hits just a smidge under my belly button, which is really comfortable. I have another pair of pants similar in style to these by another manufacturer, and they have a tendency to stretch over the course of a day, so I find myself having to constantly pull them up. That is not a problem with these pants - they have just enough "give" to be comfortable, but not so much that they stretch. I can wear them all day and then go for a run in them in the evening, and I never once have to pull them up, even when pounding the pavement. I like them so much that I ordered four more pairs, lol.

They are nice and warm
They are nice and warm, but built a bit awkward. I originally ordered a medium ( my normal size) but found the waist was to tight. So I re-ordered a large and the waist fits good, but the width of the legs from top to bottom is huge, I don't know how else to say it the legs are extremely wide. When I compare the width from the Med to the Larges it is at least an extra 3 inches in width per leg! Way to wide for my tiny frame. They will still be fine to lounge around the house in at least. And shipping was fast.

Almost like a 30" inseam
When I first received these I was hopeful. They were quite long (I'm 5'5" 145 pounds) so that I was standing on the bottoms, but the waist and legs fit decent. I washed and dried them hoping that the legs would shrink up a bit. Well, the legs did shrink up, but it was quite a bit more than I was expecting. Now I find that the legs are too wide and much too short. Almost like a 30" inseam. If I take them out of the washer, stand on the legs and stretch them out longer, then air dry them they're not bad. In the end they're pretty disappointing and I wouldn't recommend them unless you never put them in the drier, and you want a 34" inseam.

Just ok
Have only worn them once to the gym, and they are already piling on the inner thigh. Not impressed.
