New Balance Remedy...
I've been purchasing New Balance shoes for years now, everything from walker's, runner's and cross trainer's. Seems to me the durability and comfort of Reeboks depend on the amount which also seems to be reflected in the "series", i.e. 400's-600's etc. The number one reason I keep buying New Balance is because of comfort. They just seem to fit my feet the best of any shoe. I have wide feet, a bit of Hobbit in me I suppose but never-the-less I love the fit of the EEE New Balance shoes. If you have wide feet I suggest you try these shoes in the proper width and enjoy the bliss. Now on to durability. The less expensive New Balance(again try and understand their series numbers) the less they last. Less arch support, tread durability, cheaper strings. I use the cheaper shoes for yard work etc. and save my nice ones for other occasions. They all have a purpose and do their jobs well. I have broke a few shoe strings on the cheaper versions but hey if they are yard shoes who's gonna care anyway, tie a knot in them and go on with your bad self.

Nice Shoe
I have been buying New Balance shoes for several years now. I like the comfort, style and looks of this particular shoe. It is a very comfortable walking shoe. It looks great with khakis or jeans. About 2 years ago New Balance had an issue with their sizing and they recommended buying 1/2 to 1 size up. I ordered my latest pair 1/2 size larger and they fit well, so I would recommend you consider doing the same. The overall quality seems to have actually improved, especially with the shoe stings which seem to me to be a little "beefier" than before and stay tied without double-knotting them. I would recommend these shoes for anyone looking for an all around comfortable walking shoe that also has some style.

Wonderful shoe, would be nice to have a little more room for toes though
I got this on a lightning deal and I'm very happy with my purchase. The inside isn't hard, it's got a little bit of softness around the edges. That being said, it's got some support and I'm very happy with my purchase so far. We'll see how long this shoe lasts as my last pair were worn for almost 6 years. I like the material, but I live in a cold climate so the bottom tread (or lack of) might be a little more challenging sometimes. We just had our first snow-storm of the season and they worked fine for keeping my toes warmer than most of my other shoes have previously done in sub-zero temps with 25+MPH winds. If you want a good quality shoe that's comfortable to wear for light work or general walking, these are recommended. :)UPDATE 1/15/14:These shoes are holding up quite well and are far more comfy than I expected. The sore feet/knees/shins I would usually have from long periods of standing, just aren't all that bad at the 2 month mark. I've used them in the -30 weather we recently had while clearing snow and they provide a decent amount of grip on slick surfaces, but may still let loose as they're not really meant for that. They still look new (I bought the grey) which was nice as I expected the sides and toe to be getting discolored as I haven't exactly been trying to keep them from getting wet/dirty. Easy to wipe clean (just don't let wet items dry into fabric). Would almost be considered the best pair of shoes I've owned (time will tell depending on how long they last).

Amazon's Good return policy
I ordered the same exact shoe that I'm currently wearing. Shoe size I received was way too small and too narrow at the toe area. My original shoe lasted 3 years so far, but the shoe sole became unglued. Based on other 1 star reviews, maybe I should try to glue my old shoes, rather than order an inferior manufactured shoe. Maybe I'll try Monster Glue. lol.Edit: I changed my score from 1 to 5 stars. I returned and reordered a different sized shoe (from 10.5 to 11_2E ... slightly longer and wider) and the shoe fits great. So far the shoe has not unglued itself. I'll post another score if I have issues in the future. Overall, very comfortable shoes. I changed my score largely because of amazon's return policy ... I did not know what other shoe to get ... but they do have an issue with the longevity of the glue they use.

Need more room in the toes
I can feel my big toe bumping against the front of the shoe, and there is not enough wiggle room for comfort. New Balance has been a favorite brand of mine for years. I've always been able to order my size and count on the shoes to fit, but this time.I kept these shoes in the hope that they would work in and become looser after a break-in period, but after three weeks they're only halfway there.Everything else about the shoes is good quality, hence the 3-star rating. If I order from New Balance again, and the fit is no better than I got with these, they're going back.Update, March 30 2015: After six months the fit at the toes never did get better, but I finally wore a hole in the inner lining. Then the foot pad compressed and made my five mile walks a painful experience. I'm replacing these shoes with something better.

Love These Comfortable Shoes
These New Balance Shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn in my life. I am on my feet all day at my job and I need shoes that fit well and last a long time without getting worn out after wearing them for a short time. These shoes were recommended to me by a friend about 5 years ago. Just recently I ordered these shoes from Amazon because they were no longer available at my local shoe store. No other brand of shoes are as comfortable as these New Balance Shoes are. I put a pair of innersoles inside of them to give them extra padding and they cushion my feet perfectly. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who is on their feet alot and wants a pair of shoes at a reasonable price that will hold their shape for a long time. I received them in less than a week and I appreciate the excellent service I received from this company.
