So far, I have enjoyed the SE9180. It easily converts from sewing to embroidery function. It’s been a learning curve for me because my 30 year old Singer was quite a bit different. But I know I’ll grow to love this one just as much. I am impressed with the quality of the machine and the software.

I purchased this machine looking to get into embroidery as a fun craft. This machine I thought would be a good place to start because it's a Singer and it had some pretty interesting features with it. I couldn't have been more wrong this machine was an absolute nightmare. I worked with it for weeks trying to figure out how to make it work reliably to no avail. Now I have it a fair chance I was using embroidery thread, needles and proper weight Bobin thread. I also experimented with several different types of stabilizers. This machine was constantly breaking threads, breaking needles, creating massive tangles under the bobin plate. On several occasions during a re-threading after a thread break or resetting the bobin the machine would start to continue the project but it would jump alignment, and continue the stitch pattern in the wrong locations. Furthermore Singer ship's this complexe new machine with absolutely no user manual so you don't even have something to reference when you have problems. And Singer was absolutely no help whatsoever I tried on multiple occasions to contact Singers customer service for help. They even have an option to download user manuals on their website however when you enter the machines model number to get the manual it says no files exist for this product. I got so fed up one night trying to stitch a simple word on a towel after four failed attempts I wanted to throw the machine out in the backyard. It was at that point I decided to try to send it back for a refund thankfully Amazon helped me with this. Since then I have purchased a Brother SE630 embroidery machine it was half the price of this Singer although with less embroidery patterns and features. It works amazingly I have been successful with all sorts of embroidery projects this machine just works I haven't had any of the problems I had with the SE9180. Do Not Buy this Singer it's expensive junk!

The quality and functionality of this Singer machine provide a great value! I really love the big touch screen! It's easy to read and use. There are so many sewing and embroidery options available, too. I have used the trial version of the mySewnet library, and I've found tons of designs and it has given me a bunch of new ideas. I'm enjoying it and will subscribe to it. I've been sewing a long time and have almost always purchased Singer machines. This 9180 has been great, and I've done so many embroidery projects since I got it!

Item arrived and I was so excited. Could not get it connected to the internet because there was no”=“ sign on the screen for my password which was weird. They it would not cut the lower stitch n bc like it is supposed to. I have a 9960 and love the cutting stitch feature. So with both of that I sent it back and purchased just and embroidery machine.

Love this product. It runs smoothly and quietly. Finished items look amazing.

Satisfied with my purchase

This machine is very sensitive and fails most of the time. It problem starts at the beginning with the bobbins being extremely difficult to wind and I have wound thousands of bobbins. Embroidery projects jammed up 3/4 of the way into project. The sewing aspect of the machine worked well. No instruction booklet was included. After watching hours of videos I realized the machine was faulty and returned it.

Horrible machine, and horrible customer service… unless you want to gamble with your money it’s not worth it… endless problems. The needle position stopped working after few months of using now it only works in straight stitches you can’t adjust the needle position I took it to the repair shop they said there’s no mechanical failure it’s a software problem Singer manufacturer is not willing to help neither the seller… they give me a huge nonsense letters of warranty and coverage bull..st, Ian just asking for help to fix the machine not warranty and claims… Nevertheless if you thick this is the only problem well thick again the machine is horrible, endless tension issues, poorly designed bobbin case it doesn’t catch on the thread, the top tension is extremely tight I had to dial it down to 1 while sewing otherwise the thread is way too tight, uneven stitches… it shews the fabric, and the threader doesn’t work because the redesigned pressure foot is too wide it is caught on the threader arm, the thread cutter cuts only the top thread most of the time, the thread break detector has to be off all the time otherwise it will make 2 stitches and stop thinking that the thread is broken… (while it is not)… rethreading over and over it never works… Stay away from this machine otherwise you are gambling with your money, in a lost case… listen to all the complaints from previous customers rarely ever find anyone who is happy with it unless they are payed to say that… singer customer service is horrible… once you purchase this you are on your own with multiple hundreds of dollars loss

Superbe machine va comme un charme

I was very excited when I bought the machine. But I had too many expectations, which unfortunately weren't met. I was testing the machine trying to get an embroidery to work; the machine kept cutting my threads and making stitches outside the pattern. On several occasions, a knot formed under the plate, which ended up tearing the fabric. It was just a complete mess. Of all the embroideries I attempted, only 1/10 turned out well. As for sewing the machine is super good, as an embroidery machine is so bad with much room for improvement. Luckily, I received my refund.

No me gustó que no entregaran factura habiendo hecho cargos de importación. Al proveedor no le importó comunicarse. Poca información del producto. El modelo SE9180 No se encuentra disponible para registro en el sitio web de Singer. No me respetaron la promoción del software.
