Welseal 12-Inch UPVC Door Polished Letterbox/Letter Plate Mid Rail - Gold/Black

This is the second letter box of this size we have purchased from this company and all i can say is that is a fantastic product. Easy to install but please note that the supplied screws are a little bit longer but not a problem if you use your old ones. Will definitely recommend this item. Oh and great value and speedy delivery from Amazon.

Fitted this in a hardwood door that previously didn't have a letterbox. Simple enough to fit using standard wood screws.This is good quality, feels sturdy and most importantly has good draught exclusion.

Really good value at under £9. There are a couple of minor niggles - to be expected due to the low price - but nothing too major. They are that the outer flap occasionally doesn't close flush - you have to push it the last half a centimetre; the draught excluder brushes aren't quite as thick as I would have liked; the screws supplied were too long - and my door is 45mm thick.However, overall it is very easy to fit and much better than my old one. The internal brushes do work fine in keeping draught out, and if your door is towards the lower end of the range - the product is advertised for 40-80mm thick doors - a couple of 2" (50m) screws will work fine.

An absolute nightmare to fit but reasonably priced - now sits slightly proud both sides of the the door - tried next size down screw wise but did not connect - slightly worried about tightening the screws further because I suspect the plastic housing will crack -

Bought as replacement for uPVC door following house move about a year ago.Easy to fit and has worked perfectly other than letting in too much junk mail and too many bills.Great price and was a fraction of B&Q etc

This is amazing! My husband fitted it with ease and DIY doesn’t come natural to him at all. As other reviews have stated, the screws that come with it, don’t actually fit! So you need to ensure you have other screws handy. Other than that, it’s fab!

I don't know why this product has gotten good reviews. It clearly states: "Sleeves for depths: panel fitting: 20 - 40 mm - suitable for a door thickness of 18 - 38 mm". My panel door is thickness 28mm and when both parts were put together the letterbox was far too thick/deep. I thought I would try putting the screws in anyway, but they were too long and ended coming out the other side! I'll be asking for my money back, awful product.
