For the most part they do what they say they'll do (but not in all situations, as I found out). However, you could buy the parts that make up this kit for a more reasonable price at the local hardware or big orange box store.

The Easy DIY Stripped Screw Hole Repair Kit will do what it says. You get (8) #9 x 3” Torx head screws, a 2" Torx driver, and an instruction sheet on how to repair stripped screw holes. All you do is remove the old screw and replace it with the new longer one. The quality is good, and it comes in a resealable plastic bag. The problem is that at $13.95 it is not a good value at all. Compare the cost of these items at your local home store. But, if you want to save the time of going to the store and looking for these items, I suppose it could be worth it to you. For quality I must give it 4 stars. But for value-for-price I would give it 2 stars.

Super easy solution for hing repair.

So i have a hollow core door from my garage into my home. It has always dragged and stuck and been a noisey pain. I have tried many of the tricks and products out there and after the door gets slamked a few times it goes right back to sticking amd dragging on the frame. So I tried these screws without much expectations. But finally! These screws are long so make sure your door frame has no wiring or anything running next to it, but these screws worked for me! My door is no longer sticking, its been slammed several times and shuts perfectly still like it never moved. I only used 4 of these screws too! 2 in the top and 2 im the bottom and in the hinges i left the middle screws that were there. Im very pleased with this product. Highly recommended to give it a try if you have a sagging or sticking door.

It really did ease the mind!We just paid hundreds of dollars to a door-repair man to level/reinforce two of our home’s doors, both exterior. Naturally, after he left, we were kicking ourselves for not having him replace the short screws on the last of our exterior doors, as he had on the others. That door wasn’t out of whack, and we were glad that we didn’t have to pay the pro for looking at it; but, we were penny-wise and pound-foolish! Since then, we’ve been feeling insecure about that door, so we got this kit and got to work. Great idea! I've used stupid toothpick and random wood divets to fix sagging hinges in broken wood so this is next level.
