Obviously Works
My Bearded Dragon Pete loves this thing.Sometimes I think here prefers it over the heat and UV lamp. There’s no temp control it’s just plug and go.It feels like a rock or ceramic and he loves it.It’s good for his belly so to make it easier for him to digest his food.I keep this plugged all day everyday.Occasionally I’ll turn it off for awhile or overnight while he’s sleeping but sometimes I wake up and he’s on it like wandering what happened to my heat. But for these reasons and health wise you definitely cannot beat the price.I highly recommend this.He sets on it most of the day and I see him on it at night so don’t worry about it being to hot for your bearded dragon. If it was too hot my Pete would have fried by now as much as he stays on, plus I’m sure he has enough since to get off if it’s getting too hot.

Awesome Secondary Heat Source
I use this mini rock heater as a secondary heat source for my female adult leopard gecko. In a 10 gallon terrarium, I barely have to use my primary heat sources as it heats much of the tank. It doesn't get too hot, but it gets to be a really comfortable warmth. My gecko has taken to it well enough that she sleeps on it often(even when unplugged and cool). I was cautious about it at first because I had heard the horror stories with other heat rocks having bad hot spots and burning the animal, so I let it heat on my dresser. I waited until it seem to be steady on its heating and it seems that the heating is very well distributed. As far as size, this is perfect. Again, I have a large adult leopard gecko and it is more than big enough for her. If I had more than one gecko, I might consider going up to the medium size.

8/10
I have used these since I got my geckos and they work great. My only complaint is they can get really hot and the last one I had (lasted ~ a year and a half) cracked from the heat... I only say that cuz I've never dropped it or moved it around. There's no other reason it could have cracked. It didn't break completely but once I noticed the crack I removed it because it started getting way to hot for them. I love this product and would definitely recommend it. Just keep an eye on it. 8/10

Not sure how to rate this?
I actually purchased this for my Sugar Glider Cage. There is not temperature control at all, it's suppose to be set at a certain temp? After I purchased it, I found several people who said that it failed and over heated killing or damaging their pets? I did more research and found even more people saying the same thing. I didn't have a problem with mine, but took it out just in case? I have no idea if the fixed the problem, but at this time I'm not going to chance it. Do your own research before buying this product. Mine worked until I took it out, but the history of failure was too grate for me to entrust it with my animals. Good luck on whatever you decide.

great heat rock been using pretty much constantly for 2 years still works great
Absolutely love this product should have reviewed it a long time ago but have had it for going on 2 years now and it still works perfect used it for leopard geckos and stuff for a while now we are using it for chicks and ducklings and it still works great I think it was $4.50 at the time we purchased it anything under $15 is a good price compared to the Petco where we live have never had any problems with it getting too hot or not being hot enough it is perfect

A place to chill for a small lizard
The media could not be loaded. The rock is perfect. Little Maverick loves his rock. He’s always siting on the smaller one. Probably why the cats love him, he’s always out “chilling” on his rock.

Decent lil Hot Rock
This is a nice sized little unit for most herps. I know that some people hate or discourage the use of 'hot rocks', saying they will burn the belly of your animal. I found this to be untrue, least with this unit. It provides just enough warmth to help aid in digestion and warm up the animal. I also still use an under the tank heater, but they don't always provide a warm space to hunker down on top of. Watch any lizard in the wild and they will hug a rock thats been solar heated. As long as you maintain it as directed, keep it clean, you should have no problems.
