This has been the perfect solution. I love that it can accommodate cats who like to scratch up or down. It fits against any furniture a cat wants to scratch on, and it was really easy to assemble. My foster cat had stopped scratching the furniture (she even likes to nap on it) and her kittens will learn good habits now!

I was surprised to find that this cat scratcher is very sturdy and very easy to put together. My cats started using it right away. Highly recommended.

My cats love this! It was easy to put together, looks nice, and so far is sturdy and well-made. I put it against the side of my couch where my cat has been scratching, hoping it will help deflect some of the scratching. One of my cats even loves the little ball which I didn’t think he’d care about but he went right for it.

On the plus side, our cats find this scratcher irresistable. They use it a lot, and never scratch our furniture, so it kind of pays for itself. The rubber feet (on both the horizontal and vertical sections) keep it from sliding around and make it possible to put it against a wall. It can accomodate a wall's baseboard simply by installing the rubber feet, on the vertical section, higher than the baseboard. The large size is perfect for an adult cat. They like to play with the embedded toy as well. Assembly was fairly quick and easy. All good, but I am deducting one star because it's mostly cardboard, and cats with sharp claws will gradually destroy it. In the process, the shredded cardboard makes a mess on the floor. In my experience, this scratcher lasts about 3 months, then needs to be replaced.

I have two separated, stressed out cats that were never supposed to be in the same house. To save our furniture and their sanity I got one of these to try out on each of them, and bought a second one shortly thereafter because I was so pleased.- Great quality for the price (cardboard has held up better than other products I've tried)- assemble in minutes with tools given- adhesive feet prevent banging against floor / wallMy cats don't like bell toys or balls, so I just didn't put it in and that works fine too. Was 100% satisfied!

We adopted a cat a couple of months ago, and discovered an immediate and urgent need for this scratcher. We have two other cats who typically scratch floor level, but the new kid seems to prefer a full vertical body stretch. With the speakers imperiled, we ordered this product. It provides a good height for those stretches, so new kid is satisfied, and it seems sturdy. The scratcher could stand on its own without tipping over (especially since cat is standing on the horizontal portion of scratcher whilst shredding the vertical). We’ve had a few cardboard flakes come off, but that’s expected. And the other cats are happy just to use the horizontal portion, mainly to sit on. This is a wonderfully engineered product!

Easy to put together and my cat loves it already! He especially loves the little rope toy that came with it! Great product!

I purchased this about nine months ago. My cats loved it. It was easy to put together. It looked nice in my place too. Then it broke in two places. I took off a star because I was expecting this to last a few years at least. Maybe my expectations were too high. The wood is not wood. It's pressed cardboard with a wood look. It literally broke in two places. I'm on the fence about it. Not sure if I want to re order. I want something sturdy that I can replace the scratch pad part. One thing I iscovere when it fwll apart is you can disassemble this and flip over the scratch pads so they can use both sides. I like that.
