The best part of this hands-free faucet is that you do not need to plug it into an outlet. It has a battery compartment that will run the handsfree faucet. Only time will tell how long the batteries will last, but they are easy to change. It needs 4 AA batteries.

So I ordered this and loved the price. It seems sturdy and well made and love the matte black color. But I failed to realize I need one with a spout handle to pull up and push down to close the drain. I wish y’all had this same design and price point with the spout handle! This is a great option though for people who don’t need that. So I do recommend. I can’t comment on ease to install but it seemed straight forward like any other faucet.

I liked the utility of hands-free function, but product did not work properly. It appears to have been wired "backwards": when you put your hands in front of the sensor, the water would turn off. Remove your hands and the water flows freely and will not turn off at all, even minutes later. I purchased two units, so tried installing the second unit (thinking the first one was a dud), but it functioned the same 'backward' way!

Would recommend this product. Helps my elderly parent to use the bathroom and not leave the water on because he forgot to turn it off,
