Codfish in olive oil 3 tins x 120 g, Briosa Gourmet / Portugal

As many had done, I learned about these canned codfish on the late-great Anthony Bourdain's good-travel shows, and was excited to see that Amazon was offering a version of them from Portugal. However, obviously this company was not one that Bourdain spoke of! Even when the pull-tab was activated, the rancid smell from within the can was overpowering. It only got worse when the lid was completely removed. The oil was indeed rancid, and the codfish itself had turned into a horrific mush, literally like something that Linda Blair would have spewed on in "The Exorcist".I then opened every other can in the order, and each one was worse. I had to wrap them up in several layers of garbage bags to that the smell would not permanently permeate my outside trash cans. Simply: stay far, far away from the product. I assume the best way to experience what Mr. Bourdain had is to go to Portugal yourself.
