Excellent Model
I've bought this model for a second time as I was so impressed with the first and enjoyed the build so much. I used to maintain two of these and appreciate the accuracy of the detail. The quality and fit is as you would expect from Tamiya, excellent.

Nice looking model of an iconic design
The iconic Gull-wing Mercedes 300SL my dream car when my lottery numbers come up, until then there is Tamiya's 1:24 kit. Some very small parts, lots of chrome and glass and metal decals make it a tricky but not difficult kit to do, I did have problems after painting the body with TS-17 as the glue I used didn't like it and wouldn't adhere. Some, but not all, chrome parts have offset gates which help to remove them from the sprue without damaging the plating. No flash but some mould lines to remove and a few unforgiving and quite deep ejector pin marks to fill especially on the underside of the bonnet and doors. It all went together well, you have to be quite forceful fitting the sub frame and interior into the body as you have to force the body apart, overall worth making and looks nice when finished I am pleased with my effort I've added a few pictures.

£100 in paint
do NOT buy this! What they don't tell you is that after you get this model you will have to spend £100 in buying their paint products! The instructions list 19 different paints that are required and if you look the average price that Tamiya will kindly sell you is £5 for each! Well done Tamiya for your business model!

I was blown away by the incredible details they put into this model. If you compare to the actual car, it’s remarkably spot on. Super fun and exciting build.

I didn't like that the box was open, however I think it was because the sender needed to check if it was complete as nothing is missing and the product is just great
