These are great. Fabulous value. There are 5 oyster shells, each individually shrink wrapped. There are no instructions on how to open them, but I found it quite easy to open with a small screwdriver first, then a dinner knife. I would recommend opening them over a dish or towel, as there is a little liquid content. I have only opened 1, as I am going to give the other 4 as tiny gifts. I had a perfect beautiful purple-y pearl in mine. Cleaned up, the shell makes a perfect display for the pearl within.

I bought these to give my mum and my friend as gift. This is such a nice little gift. Sometimes if you're stuck for gift ideas these shells with real pearls inside would make a great gift and if you add a necklace with a cage pendant where to keep the pearl it's even better. They come individualy vacuum packed and they are very easy to open. The pearl inside is beautiful.
