I appreciate what other reviewers have said with regard to this fudge not having a very strong vanilla flavour cos, to be fair, it doesn't.........BUT, I've tried numerous different types, brands and prices of fudge over the years (it's been a tough job but someone's had to do it) and this particular fudge ticks all the boxes for my personal tastes.When I excitedly opened the box to get my eager little fingers on the first cube, I was momentarily a little confused as, on first taste, I thought it was more like very soft toffee than fudge. However, I didn't take this as a negative as I love toffee too but not the hard types, so the fact that it resembled a fudge toffee hybrid curried favour with me from the start. The more I chewed the more the fudginess (is that a word? If not, it is now) came through. I decided then to try experimenting with eating cubes whilst drinking tea and then coffee because in my experience a hot drink will always discern a proper fudge by the way it reacts. I'd like to point out that this is not a scientific fact, this is me just being a pig with fudge. Sure enough, that lovely fudgey texture manifested and I was more than happy.This is a GREAT little fudge and, even if you were to find that it's not to your tastea) can you afford not to try it at such great value andb) there are lots of ideas on the internet for reinventing fudge so you could probably melt it down, add a flavour ingredient of your choice and reset itI ordered my first box on 21st June (and despite trying to leave it alone and be good by rationing myself to a couple of squares a day) my 2nd box is due delivery tomorrow.I've attached a photo of the 2kg tub.Just the tub.The fudge didn't make it through to the review unfortunately!Before I finish....of COURSE I didn't eat the whole 2kg myself.....my fiancé got to try one square....I'm not THAT mean! :-)

The box containing the fudge is relatively thin and brittle. It was broken inside the Amazon box, which was not apparently damaged, though there's no knowing if the Amazon staff had thrown it around at all!Some of the fudge blocks were loose in the outer box, and we immediately transferred the remaining blocks into our own containers.What a shame, whatever the cause of the damage. The fudge itself is delightful, thanks.

The flavour, size, consistency and texture of each of these pieces of fudge is perfect, I prefer to eat mine in two or three bites but you could chew one at a time. The dissolve without much in the way of chewing which is just what you want from fudge rather than toffee or tablet.The box they come in is good, keeps them fresh when you have opened it, will keep them dry and protect against most heat, wet or other conditions. The pieces of fudge could be cut smaller, if you choose, either for eating or to garnish a dessert or combine with ice cream.What I think is great about this is the volume of fudge cubes to the plastic box container, there is a lot, this is really, really good value for money. Really good. The quality of the food stuff is matched only by the quantity of fudge supplied per box. I would compare this to the much more costly fudge that it is possible to buy in the shops of Edinburgh or elsewhere, it is flavoured maybe but it can not compete with this supplier on quality and quantity for the money. Recommended.
