It's a nice sturdy chair. I wouldn't call it oversized but it has enough room for a big man to feel comfortable. I purchased the "teak" which in the picture looks more like pine, but when the chair arrived it was instead a color much more like teak. In the pictures people posted you can see the one I'm writing about...it is like a soft light chocolate brown color and much nicer than the pine color I ordered because it was the least expensive. Assembly was easy, the directions are not the best but with a little common sense it wasn't difficult at all. It is comfortable to sit in and gives a person with back problems like myself, a nice upright posture when sitting. I think it was a good value and I am pleased with the purchase. It also arrived quickly, much faster than what I was initially told.

Just bought these chairs the other day and put them together (bought 2) in less than an hour (hardest part was getting me up and down off the ground - lol). They went together easily and I found the directions to be clear and pretty easy to follow. You do have to pay attention to get it right - but it definitely wasn't rocket science!! lol They are very, very sturdy and not that heavy. I like the size and feel of them. Saving up a bit to buy a few more - maybe even a table. Love the material - should be easy to keep clean and I would be surprised if they don't last and weather the elements well. Bought 2 rockers from a competitor - wish I had bought their rockers instead - just overall really like the feel and quality of these.

This chair is so awesome. Easy to assemble. No need to put away for winter. Bears up to harsh winters. Have four. Bought two then got another because I liked it so much. Very sturdy. Cushion I bought for it makes it extra comfy.

Love this patio set! I needed one that was sturdy enough to hold my husband who is a big guy. They were very easy to put together and super strong. I also bought the little side table that matches the set and I love love love it.

This plywood chair was easy to put together with clear instructions. It looks great, feels sturdy, and is surprisingly comfortable for a minimalist design. Perfect addition to my deck . Would definitely recommend!

Love the two outdoor black chairs that I bought! They were relatively easy to put together and are quite comfortable. Now, I intend to purchase the side table. My only question is whether the color will fade in time. That is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. It’s great that they will last through all weather conditions, but that doesn’t mean the black color won’t become more gray. Time will tell.

These chairs are great! There is just a small slant of the back and a gentle slope of the seat. Everyone feels they're very comfortable to sit in! I'm in my 70's so the construction was awkward as the pieces were heavy but I got it done, no help!

We are very happy with the sturdiness of this chair. It is for my brother‘s balcony where he can sit and enjoy the view in a chair that is suitable for someone that has difficulty getting out of lower furniture you often find in outdoor products. Build quality: The materials felt very strong, and the chair was rather easy to put together.
