A WERK OF ART.
What a tremendous purchase this Kraftwerk box set was. 8 C.D.s. for under £40.00 courtesy of Amazons fine pricing. Next day delivery as well. And extremely well packaged. Thanks Amazon. Back to the box set. The sound quality on each disc is amazing. All the discs have been remixed from the original albums. As an added bonus, C.D. 7 ‘The Mix’ has been especially mixed for headphones as a Surround Sound 3D special mix. It sounds absolutely amazing. Stand-out tracks for me are - Numbers/Computer World/The Man Machine and House Phone. Not a poor track over the 8 C.D.s. If you are new to Kraftwerk I strongly recommend you purchase this from Amazon straight away. Satisfaction almost certainly guaranteed.

If you're into electronic music, they are The Beatles
I do feel a bit of a mug paying to hear all these tunes yet again. But, on the other hand, the sound quality is quite celestial, and they are very good tunes. It's perhaps the least 'live' sounding live album of all time but so what, really? It's Kraftwerk, not Bruce Springsteen. Autobahn and Radioactivity are probably the most interesting updates, as you'd expect. Computer World suffers a bit, and the Man Machine tracks just aren't long enough. Tour de France sounds how it should have sounded in the first place (but it's still their worst album). The Mix is more pointless than ever, since all these boxset's versions are in Kraftwerk's more 'recent' (ie: 20 years out of date rather than 40 years out of date) style. As a result, The Mix is essentially a compilation of some of the most popular bits from all the other CDs in this set.Unfortunately, all the above is nit-picking. I've listened to The Catalogue about a billion times since buying it, and went and saw the live show too - I even bought a t-shirt, and I never do that. So clearly it can't be that bad. Really, any excuse to listen to Kraftwerk just one more time is fine by me. If you're into electronic music, they're The Beatles, it's as simple as that.

An excellent recording of Kraftwerk’s concerts
A very well recorded overview of their concerts one of which I attended. What is striking in the textures of the sounds on these takes of their core albums. The packaging is excellent and the booklet is informative. Well worth the money for any Kraftwerk or electronic music fan.

A Presentation Worthy of the Music Contained Within
This box set is incredible. The first thing I noticed as I removed the contents from their packaging was just how beautifully displayed they were, how lovely the materials were to the touch, and how high-quality everything was. This box set, like The Catalogue which preceded it, is made of a distinctly high-end cardboard-esque material. The whole package feels fantastic, and is beautifully presented. The music is fantastic, and the mastering is incredible. The vinyl LPs are heavyweight, and they play extremely well.Overall, I am superbly pleased with this purchase. It is the perfect compliment to original "The Catalogue."

Superb, but not very 'live'!
These recordings don't have the sound or feel of being 'live' because there's no crowd noise, and of course the music is pretty faultless. Also, despite having a live CD for each studio album I was slightly disappointed that not every track is featured, plus they're often in a different running order to the originals. HOWEVER, the sounds are glorious in most cases... my favourite being the 'Trans Europe Express' album. Superb through decent headphones and a MUST HAVE for all Kraftwerk fans :)

Absolutely brilliant!
I was a little bit sceptical after reading some negative reviews. Yes, it is expensive, especially Bluray box, but I must say: I love it! The sound quality is absolutely superb. It is not really live music as it is typically expected. I guess it was recorded live, but it is more like studio recording. There is no audible crowd to be heard anywhere. It is like re-recording original classics using 21st century technology, remixed, but not far from the originals. And somehow it all worked very well.

Superlative double vinyl of reimagined Kraftwerk Klassics
Excellent quality double vinyl with pristine sound. The remixes are good modern reimagined versions of the well known anthemic Kraftwerk songs, but the changes are subtle and do not detract from the original songs.Note: the download voucher expired June 2018 which is disappointing as I bought this record in December 2018. I don't know why they expire but I already have this album on CD so it's not the end of the world.
