Why did you pick this product vs others?:These sandals are incredible. I am just finishing a 12 day trip to NYC and Philadelphia. I averaged 23,000 steps every single day in the Taos Big Time sandals and never had a single problem. There were days with triple digit temps and a drizzly morning. I appreciated that I could quickly and easily adjust the straps if my feet changed size due to extreme heat outdoors or frigid air conditioning. They aren’t the least expensive sandal on the market, but this seems like a case where you get what you pay for.

I can't say enough good things about these sandals. I wore them to Portugal and walked 20,000 steps daily without any break-in. They are fashionable with casual outfits and can be dressed up as well. I'm about to get them in black. I recommend them to everyone. Yes, they are expensive but they are so worth it!

My second pair of Taos sandals. I bought my first 6 years ago and used them constantly. I still use them! Both pairs are so comfortable and great for walking. This time I bought the Big Time style in natural. I have a narrow foot but the medium works nicely with the velcro straps.

Very comfortable shoe from the get-go. I did not need to wear these in and walking long distances is not a problem. I’ll be taking these on my trip to Rome as my only shoes.

I was pleasantly surprised that these sandals actually fit my narrow, low volume feet. They are really beautiful and well made. I was also pleased that they listed both arch and metatarsal support, which I need. However, the arch support is very minimal, not near enough for me, definitely not as much as I get in my Birkenstocks. My feet hurt within about 10 minutes of wearing them due to the lack of arch support. If you don’t need much support in your arches you may really love these sandals. I’m disappointed they didn’t work for me.

I got these sandals to be able to wear to walk in while traveling. They are super comfortable and do not rub, can be worn all day without discomfort. They are velcro adjustable. A great alternative to sneakers.

Generally, this is a well made sandal. The strap next to the ankle strap does not have an adjustment hook and loop closure since it is attached to the ankle strap.. To get it to lay tighter, the ankle strap has to be placed tighter, which feels less comfortable. It seems to be a design flaw. With the angle of the strap placement. The insole of the shoe has arch support and some padding. However, after wearing them around the house for an hour, there is a noticeable sensation of 2 places in the footbed that puts pressure on the bottom of the feet and the insole is too firm for my sensitive feet. These sandals would not be comfortable for all day wear. I am returning them.

I have read a lot of reviews on the comfort of taos shoes, boot and sandles. But the price has always been the issue and buying online is not always for the best thing for buying shoes since you can bring your feet to try them on before you buy. Well it is summer and I have bad feet, bunions, blisters, arthritis and I needed new sandles comfortable enough for walking with these feet. These sandles were mentioned on one of my travel sites and I said what the heck let me look at these. When i searched I say that I could get them from Amazon. I took the leap knowing i could return them if they did fit right. Well I have been wearing these all day for walking with no problems. I feel they will be durable since I find they are very well made. I will buy these again.
