Is this deep enough to fit normal plugs or deeper plugs. One i already purchased wpuld not close?

Hi ya no it only supports standard plugs and not for example RCD, the larger type however you can buy Socket spacers which will allow you to build out from the original socket .. I hope that helps and not confuses you .. Regards Ronnie

How many socket covers in a pack?

The pack contains ONE cover for a double plug socket.

The socket we have measures 145mm x 85mm--will it fit? Last one we bought was too big.

Is this ok for uk plugs?

Fine for all uk double sockets. You need to loosen the front of the socket away from the wall to slide this behind the face of the socket. No need to touch any electrical wiring.
