I bought these as a less expensive substitution for the sentry collar. They work well, are more flexible and stay on better than the sentry brand. My only complaint is the smell. My poor cat smells like an old man who bathed in cologne. He doesn't seem to care and they're effective in keeping him from missing the cat box. But the smell... Please change it and reduce the intensity.

Bought these for my cats because they kept hissing and swiping at each other. The day after putting them on I noticed a significant difference in behavior. They’re both a lot calmer, purring more, sleeping a lot, and no more fighting! It’s been a few days now and they can get close to each other without any tension or fighting. One cat has recently been spayed and would lick herself nonstop. Since wearing the collar she has stopped licking as much. The collars themselves have a strong but pleasant odor. It’s very durable and I have not noticed any signs of skin irritation on my cats. So overall a great buy, especially for the affordable price.

The scent is very strong. Every time one of my cats gets near me, I can smell it. I have two older cats and one younger cat. The two older cats do not get along with the younger cat. The younger cat doesn't like them either. The collars made no difference in their behavior. Everyone is growling and hissing with an occasional fight. They will stalk each other.

One of my cats has been peeing outside of the litter box, due to anxiety. He also howls all night, pacing around. He would crouch defensively if approached. We recently moved and adopted a new dog, so my cat’s anxiety has dramatically increased since then. I recently took my cat to the vet, and he was prescribed an anxiety medication. My vet told me it might help to try combining the meds with calming products, like diffusers. The price on this collar was so affordable that I figured it’d be worth a shot.Immediately after opening one of the collars from the package, I noticed a strong, lavender/essential oil type smell. I was a little worried it would cause harm to my cat, but I just thought I’d try it and monitor him for any reaction. So far, it’s been a couple days, and he hasn’t had any negative reaction at all (still eating, drinking, active like normal, etc). The strong smell has also faded quite a bit. The collar itself seems well-made and sturdy. It is very adjustable, so I think it would work for many different sizes of cat.Now, this could just be a coincidence of course, but since he started wearing it, my cat has seemed much more relaxed. He has approached me for snuggles much more these past few days, he hasn’t been howling/pacing around house like before, and he generally just seems more mellow, like he was before he developed anxiety. The prescription meds he has apparently take a few weeks to work, so I think this collar might be what is helping (since it’s too soon for the meds to kick in).I will continue having him wear this collar. I do feel it has been helping him become less anxious so far. I still recommend you see a vet if your cat is experiencing anxiety, but this has been a nice little booster product to use in addition to meds. :)I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 because of the strong smell it had at first, which smelled good but made me a little worried about my cat breathing it in. However, it seems to be working, and right now I would recommend this product!

The smell is very potent, which I thought would help calm my kitten down, but nope! Hasn’t done a thing. I love the color purple so that’s a star point, I like the smell so that’s a star point, and it doesn’t bother my kitten, so that’s a star point…but if you’re buying to calm your cat/kitten down…I’m not seeing it yet. I’ll give it the full 30 days and will update if anything changes! Not a bad product so far, just not as advertised for my hyper kitten!

This really works. I have a cat who is a nice boy but he gets mean towards his brother when his brother gets bathed or goes to the vet. It is called Nonrecognition aggression or something like that. The cat smells different so they are not recognized as the same cat. I wonder why they still recognize me even after I bathe or change lotion scents but anyway. This took a few days to get to its highest effect but it works. I put it on the "meaner" cat whenever his brother has to go to the vet or get bathed (his brother is more sickly) and leave it on for the 30 day period and he is nice to his brother again. After I take it off, he is still fine. This is a good behavior aid. The price is right and the results are excellent. This is so much more cost effective than the similar collars you can buy in the pet store.
