Certainly Not Gluten-free!
This product is not 100% Buckwheat. In fact, I feel it is heavily mixed with Oats and/or Wheat. Although the ingredient list says just Buckwheat; as a gluten intolerant person, I got really ill after consuming it. Since, Buckwheat is not a grain, I have them normally in my diet and I don't get any reaction with it. But this product certainly left me in stomach pain, diarrhoea, bloating and discomfort for the next few days. My symptoms are very light if it is just a cross-contamination. The package says 'it may contain traces of gluten etc', but it certainly didn't feel like a cross contamination from the factory, I believe it is actually mixed with the product itself. Gluten/oats intolerant people be aware of this. Do not take a chance. Otherwise I can say it is a very nice porridge as I had it.

Jolly good
I have this on subscribe and save, so I know I will be getting it as frequently as I choose.I first heard about buckwheat when I discovered Sirt Food. There are 20 main Sirt foods including buckwheat, which can substitute for flour or cereals. The benefits include gluten free, relatively high protein and low GI. Oh and it's delicious

Use to make a Meusli
They do the title job well and soak up the milk I use. There is some dust with the flakes that stops a five score.See

A learning curve.
I purchased this to try to make some alternative flapjacks. Both my daughter and I are coeliacs and we don't particularly cope well even with gf oats, so we wanted to try some buckwheat flapjacks. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy the texture or flavour and I will have a look for some alternative recipes to use this in the future. Wish it was cheaper, it seems expensive.

Raw Buckwheat Flakes
Good quality overall, however, please note they're made from RAW buckwheat (green'ish, not brown). Which means, it won't taste like traditional Eastern European buckwheat porridge unless you bake or pan-fry them. I've baked mine for appr. 20 min at 200°C and it did the trick.
