Pettex Silica Cat Litter Granules, 7.6L, clear

We've been using this for the last couple of years with our cat and it is so effective and cost efficient. Ok he only uses his litter tray when its raining outside, but even in winter I'm only having to change the tray every two to three weeks and there's no smell, it soaks up liquids brilliantly.As a side note we also noticed that the cupboard we keep the open bag of granules in, no longer has a musty odour to it... this stuff is of course a silica gel (just like those little sachets), so its great if you have a coat/shoe cupboard that can get damp, to absorb any excess moisture too.

I used silica for the first time because it was recommended. I won't use normal litter again. It's light weight and once you've drained it after use you can just dispose of granules in your refuse. A 5 minute job. It's clean and easy to use. The de-odourising affect goes on for days. I'm sure of its antibacterial affect. 7 litre bag will go on for a whole month. And pet is happy to use it. I return home to a clean smelling environment. 10/10 in my opinion.

Works efficiently but on the expensive side in relation to quantity and length of use. Hence 4 stars.

I hardly ever write reviews, but felt that I just had to with this product. This Cat litter is hands down the best litter that I’ve used. I have four cats, so as you can imagine keeping my home (cat scent free) can be quite challenging at times. This product however is an absolute winner. It keeps dry,keeps odours away and most importantly it doesn’t stick in between my Cats paw pads. I have a Maine Coon and a thick furred Persian whose fur always got filthy whenever they used other brands of litter,but this silicon litter is perfect for my Cats. Will be buying repeatedly.

I have been using this litter for nearly a year now and can 100% say i’ll never use another type again.I’ve got two cats and for 2+ years and we’ve tried clumping, non clumping, wood pellets, litter freshener, you name it and always had a number of issues. I have one extremely picky and clean cat who refuses to use the litter box if there’s even a hint of it being smelly or unclean and no amount of scooping fixed the smell. I used to spend £40+ each month on litter and have to do complete litter changes every second day, and if you didn’t scoop it in time he’d leave little presents all over the house.With this litter there isn’t a single hint of a bad smell or a rogue ‘gift’ on the carpet and even with two cats who constantly use it. You could sit right next to the thing and you’d never notice it was there. I don’t have to do a litter change for 2, 3, even 4 weeks, so a single bag lasts us well over a month! Poo is poo so if it’s left in there for too long of course it will smell a little, but as long as you scoop the box at least one or two times a day you’ll be all set. I genuinely cannot recommend this litter enough, it may not work for everyone but it’s been a total lifesaver for me and my two, they’re happier, cleaner and a lot less smelly! Only issue is it does track a little, but no more than any other litter i’ve tried, so it can’t be faulted for that.But if you have issues with a smelly litter box or a hyper-picky cat, I 100% recommend giving this a try.

Been using these for a good while and honestly they have been the best I've tried.Edit - While the end user experience (and by that I mean me cleaning out litter boxes etc) is still much much much better than with normal cat litter (I don't feel like I might whinge myself into an early grave while cleaning this stuff out), these have gone down hill in a couple of ways recently...1) Struggling to get 7-10 days use with 2 cats, that's per bag. After around 7-10 days they smell just as bad as regular cat litter does after about half that. Considering the price (and it's worth noting point 2 here), these are not as good value as they used to be. I'm not sure if something has changed with them, or if our bigger cat's industrial strength toilet habits are just too much for this stuff, but certainly 1 bag doesn't last anywhere near a month now. Considering 1 cat + 1 bag = 1 month (used to), I'd have assumed with 2 cats we'd easily get 14+ days use out of these, but alas no.2) Price/ availability. I subscribe and save for these and often the price is blank and I'm not sure if the product is coming, or if it's going to be twice as expensive. On a few occasions I've written it off as 'not coming' and a week or so after the rest of my sub/save order comes, these are suddenly on their way too. While some of that is on Amazon and their frankly poor communication regarding sub/save, it does seem that this stuff has major stock issues regularly and that is NOT good for customer confidence.Overall I'm going to mark down from a 4 star to a 3 star. Not as good as it once seemed/was, but still a lot better than any regular litter.

My cat likes it. I use half of the bag each time and change it every 7 days, so as soon as it gets too yellow and a bit smelly he will not use it. My cat is large breed and very fussy, he will not use traditional cat's litter, only crystal. This product is one of the better quality and reasonable price, also it doesn't leave too much dust around. I would recommend this product.

Easier clean up and less smelly than non crystal cat litters. Make sure to fill 3inches or higher and scoop and stir daily. Relatively expensive as I have to use 1.5 bags, but it lasts for a month. Some tracking local to the box but that’s it.
