if i have 2 rooms, i can put 1 thermostat and 1 valve on each room and have the thermostat control only the valve for that room?

Yes, the room stat overrides the radiator valve (TRV) when assigned to the same room. This is important for two reasons; 1) the TRV is fitted on the radiator itself and therefore can think it has achieve the required temperature when the room is still cold 2) fitting a TRV to a radiator in a room with a room stat enables the valve to close when heat is not required (like in a bedroom during the day) while heating other rooms in the house. Without the TRV the bedroom would heat up whenever the heating was on, regardless of the desired temperature set.

Can the radiator thermostats be fitted without having to drain the system?

Yes- just as long as the existing thread is 30mm, they will screw straight on to replace your existing TRV's head. There is also a Danfoss converter cartridge included so they may be fitted to a Danfoss radiator valve

Is there a manual overide on the hub to put heating or water on or off in case person at home is not technically savvy

Yes, there are 2 buttons one each for hot water and heating. If you press for 3 seconds it gives a 1 hr advance on either hot water or heating.

I currently have a digistat wireless thermostat controller for my worcester greenstat 37cdi combi boiler. will he drayton thermostat work out of box?

Do you have a digistat wall control by your boiler? I have a digistat thermostat downstairs, and then the controller under the boiler which is plugged into the mains. Essentially this can replace that easily. You turn the mains off, then you unscrew the little screws at the bottom of the control and pop it off the backplate. If its a digistat controller then you can actually pop the heat hub straight onto that (only where you are using wiser pack 1. not sure about others). Turn power back on and thats it basically, you can start pairing It took me ages to set it up as my phone wouldn't connect to the hub and I didn't ave space for the heat hub where the original was as its bigger so I've had to turn it round and use wall tape to "secure it". I love it
