This complementary parrot food is formulated to provide all parrots with an interesting, varied and tasty diet. It is manufactured using quality ingredients including white sunflower, striped sunflower, extruded wheat fruit shapes, peanuts, monkey nuts, assorted tropical fruits, flaked beans, chillis, flaked peas, whole maize and banana. Depending on breed,size and level of activity, parrots will eat approximate 15-20% of their body weight a day. Feed as much fresh fruit and vegetables as they will eat but reduce the amount of other foods on offer accordingly. Always ensure that stale or left over food is cleared away and that fresh drinking water is always available.

Nothing like the pictures
The images of the product show clearly an extruded red fruit shape, and green and red fruit shapes, and a yellow dried fruit that I assumed to be pineapple. However, none of these appear in the bag delivered to me. The majority of the mix is actually flaked peas, the 'assorted tropical fruits' appears to be solely dried mandarins, and the dried banana is just a few small pieces.It is an acceptable mix to feed a parrot, and I like that the sunflower content is lower than most, but it is certainly not as advertised.

very fruity mix
This is certainly one of the fruitiest mixes I have ever bought for my birds. Its not bad quality but because some of my birds are the larger type and I buy them fresh fruit and veg daily a stronger mix of sunflower is needed but this suits most of them in any case and its a good price as some mixes can cost a fair bit more. If you need a good mix of this sort for your birds then I would say yes go ahead and try it, see how your birds take to it. My tend to eat it all up so I they think its good.

Dissapointed
Dissapointed, this is advertised as fruity parrot food, where is the fruit? I have been using this for my African grey for nearly a year, the 5 kg, this was ideal, no problems at all but as this weight is no longer available I have gone with the 12.5 kg, unfortunately it is made up of just seed, My heart was in my mouth when I opened the bag, I had visions of Ali (the parrot) getting upset, thank goodness he was fine and seems to enjoy it. If I order this product again I hope there will be more fruit added for a balanced parrot diet and as advertised. Also, the delivery of the product was delayed as it was damaged and had to be returned.

Not in sealed branded bag
Throught was getting a sealed bag but came a plain poly bag unsealed they must buy in a large amount and bag themselves

Charles loves it
This parrot food is fruity & smells lovely. Charles are African grey loves it, don't have as much wastage as other parrot foods we have had were she throws a lot of it out of her bowl & ends up on the bottom of the cage.

Parrot food
I really liked the look of this but my two are being a bit stubborn about it. Probably because it's healthier than their usual. I'm persevering with it though.

Best parrot food about, Bernard my African Grey loves it. Great mix of fruit nets and seeds and unlike lots of bird food not loads of sunflower seeds. Neo the hamster eats it too, both in really good health. I bought another well known brand of parrot food and bernard looked very low after a couple of months, changed back to this food and he is ounce, healthy and looks great
