My husband grabbed these for me at random while I was on post-partum bedrest. A few minutes into wearing, I thought, "Huh..." Then I read the package and learned they were herbal-infused - I never would have chosen these for myself (see note below!), but I was pleasantly surprised. The feeling of these pads on my war torn lady parts was extremely therapeutic. The light cooling sensation is gentle, but was enough to distract my mind from the heavy, persistent aches and cramps. They also fulfilled their intended purpose and held up to heavy post-partum bleeding without leaks, and felt secure. The cooling effect definitely lasts for a couple of hours (based on how frequently I changed pads post-partum) but the feeling only lasts while wearing the pad - I do not experience any lingering sensation after removal. The longest I've worn these pads is overnight (~7 hours) and when I wake up the sensation is gone, so I'm not sure at what point it fades away. I have found these to be more relieving and comfortable than ice packs (ice packs in the nether region can be too intense, very short sensation window, leaky, moist feeling), and they are now my ride or die for period pain (from cramps to sore vulva). NOTE: Everyone seems to have a different experience with these pads. I am just one data point, but if it's helpful, I am in my mid 30s and have very sensitive skin (I opt for dye-free, scent-free or light/naturally scented soaps and lotions). My skin is dry year round and prone to the occasional pimple, and I have no food or medical allergies.

I personally had a good experience with them. I am a heavy bleeder, so the cooling effect really helped a lot because I had very bad abdominal pain if you don’t bleed heavily or have really bad abdominal pain. I do not suggest these because if you just wear them with low flow then it’s going to burn. I let my friend use these and she did not appreciate that cooling sensation because to her it burned so if you have a sensitive ha ha then I do not suggest these.

I do feel like all feminine products are very expensive when they have a little more quality, like pink tag price kinda thing. That being said, I love the mint scent. It has a cooling effect. They don’t feel cheap and do not irritate me at all ever, unlike others do sometimes. These are very comfortable.

Please do not buy these pads, they have given me the WORST thrush and UTI I’ve ever had and I’ve had to seek antibiotics for it as OTC treatment will not clear it as it’s too severe. I have not had thrush in just under 10 years!! Do not buy them, stick to plain sanitary towels or tampons but do not stick these near your privates with all the herbs etc they don’t belong there!
