Good stuff!
It is soothing! So don't ask me how this stuff works but I do feel a soothing feeling when eating it, both in terms of mentally and physically it feels soothing to eat I find it hard to explain. It reminds me of porridge but has a very smooth and personally I think nice taste. I do find myself wanting it abit sweeter so I add abit of honey or sugar. But overall the taste is pretty nice. It's really simple to make and you do get quite a few servings out of a pack. Im not really sure if this will help if you have a bad stomach or some sort of medical condition as I do not and can't comment on that. It doesdoes have a soothing feeling and taste though. If your looking for something abit different and something that may soothe your stomach this is worth a go. Would recommend.

Works with Gastritis (unhappy stomach) & helps sleep too
Perhaps its coincidence but probably not, after weeks of Gastritis and no signs of improvement I tried the rather oddly named ‘Slippery Elm’ and within 2-3 days my stomach was settling, the pains easing and less frequent and it also tastes pretty good too especially when you’re able to mix it with warm milk instead of water. The malted version is marginally sweeter to taste. One of those old remedies which actually appears to work and it helps you sleep too. Worth a try.

Perfect on its own or with Psyllium husk
Great and effective for the price worth every penny to have it around. I got slightly better an organic one, but taking the price is Ivwould still have this one too just in case you run out. Taste is not great, but this stuff works so what else ypu expect:) Get some soon and mix with some milk or as I do with table spoon of psyllium husk in a glass of apple juice and you will have very nice drink to cleanse you guts. Very effective. Highly recommended.

The elderly may laugh at you, but you'll be laughing for longer.
Used to help post nasal drip, bad stomach, as a sleep aid and a way to make sure baby is getting enough food if she's poorly. My personally preferred recipe; 1 Tsp (Heaped) slippery elm, 1 Tsp Honey into enough milk to make a thin paste, then heat up the rest of the milk separately and pour in while stirring.Excessive lumps are either milk being too hot and making porridge, or not mixed in enough and the reason I do them apart.Side effects include anyone over 65 assuming you're drinking medicine. If you can convince them you're not then you must either be "Wrong" or an invalid. These may vary depending on the individual and I found them to not get in the way of my enjoyment of the drink.

Delicious
My family bought this in my childhood, loved it ever since, i use it to calm upset stomachs in humans or dogs and I just love it as soothing pudding with a slight Malteser flavour due to the malt ( I make it with three teaspoons of slippery elm to the same amount of milk as for one teaspoon and adore the pudding texture, which I find yummier than making it as a drink - my dog agrees). An ideal breakfast for those with upset stomach.
