This is a quality ice-cream scoop. It's heavy and well-made, it cuts into very-frozen ice cream easily and quickly. It's easy and comfortable to hold and it fits into my utensil drawer without causing any troubleI particularly like the feature that keeps the scoop off of the counter if you need to set it down, sort of a built-in trivet. It's great if you're serving ice cream to a bunch of kids and need to go back and forth between the cake and the cookies-and-cream.

This is the coolest ice cream scoop I've ever used! Heavy duty, well-made, attractive, and excellently priced. I found it first on JCPenney.com, but the price was much better on Amazon. Everyone should get one!

This is the best ice cream scoop we have found! I read a lot of reviews because I wanted something that would make scooping quick and easy for hubby and something that would help my weak little chicken arms when I was serving ice cream that's frozen and hard. This one had great reviews and lived up to the hype. This scoop is perfect! We can scoop ice cream easily right after taking it out of the freezer. Exactly what we wanted

This is honestly the best ice cream scoop I've used, hands down. Heavy, well made, and ergonomic. The thermal mass, sharp edge, and curved shape of the scoop all add up to ease of scooping even hard ice cream. The little feet keep it from getting counter messy when you set it down. Plus my kids love that it looks like a kitty when its upside down. Has held up great so far and hope it continues to do so. I liked it so much that I gifted it to all my family members for Christmas.

Like other reviewers I have found this to be the very best ice cream scooper ever!!! It does cut right thru hard ice cream with ease! I think it might have something to do with the weight of the piece. Since it is weighted its the piece itself that muscles thru the hard ice cream not you. I mean, you can actually sit down with a bowl of supper cold ice cream in minutes since you didn’t have to let it “soften” before you scooped it! Amazing!!! Some bonuses are that the piece is designed with a stand so that you can set this rt down on the counter without the scoop touching the counter! Yay! Also extra bonus it’s dishwasher safe!!! Super Yay! With the biggest bonus of all is that the darn thing actually works! I’ve tried other ice cream scoopers from the classic kind that scoops and releases the ice cream to the ones that are filled with something that is supposed to keep the scooper somewhat warm so it can cut thru hard ice cream, well both those types are ok, they will work but only on presoftened ice cream, plus the ones filled with liquid have to be hand washed, boo! Try it! I’m confident you’ll be as impressed by this little guy as I am. I do believe that I’m going to have to gift this to some of my favorite people!Thank you for reading my review :)

I'm one of those types of people that likes to buy quality tools, and since I'm in the kitchen a lot this ideology applies there. This scoop, simply put, is the very best scoop I have ever used. It is ergonomic; the smooth curves fit my large (male) hands as well as my wife's hands, and the plastic is not slick and holds well. The most marvelous thing is how easily it cuts into the ice cream -- though the edge isn't even butter knife sharp. Hard ice cream straight from the deep freezer can be reliably served, even without heating the scoop.As for durability, my scoop has been used at least once a week for the past three years and still looks like it did when I bought it. I never wash it in the dishwasher (though the wife has a handful of times), but instead with soap and water. I have gifted this scoop as a wedding gift to multiple friends of mine (I was given mine as a wedding gift as well) and it always goes over well.Overall, it feels great, holds up great, and most importantly functions great. Earns full marks for me.

Some of us grew up with ice cream scoops where you pull a trigger and the ice cream gets windshield-wiped off, but ice cream has evolved, and so have the scoopers.I currently have a really good, heavy, Michael Graves scooper from Target. It is well-made and can scoop almost any ice cream. I really wanted a second scooper of the same model (because mine started to show some rust), but they don't make it anymore so I had to find something similar.This Tovolo Tilt Up ice cream scoop is the closest thing I've found to my old scoop, but, this scoop adds an extra feature that helps immensely: a footed handle that tilts the scooper off your counter so it never touches dirty surfaces. The scooper weight is heavy enough but comfortable to hold. The chrome-plated zinc alloy head part is manufactured to a sharp end that will cut and dig into any ice cream smoothly; I've cut through some really hard homemade ice cream with this. I bought a white one [see photo], but they also come in other bright colors to match your kitchen.The design is simple and elegant, the scoop glides cleanly to give a nice round ball of ice cream; it almost feels futuristic. Recommended.*** UPDATE ***I have to give this a one-star deduction because the chrome plating is coming off, and I've owned it less than six months. I can't tell if it's a chip or oxidation, but it has gotten bigger. But if I had to update this, I suggest making the plating thicker or getting durable stainless steel that won't rust. I shouldn't have to constantly be buying ice cream scoops; just make a quality one and charge accordingly for it.

I have to echo all the other positive reviews about this ice cream scoop. Sometimes a product comes along, that combines style and utility into one beautiful product and this is one such item. Not only is it elegantly styled (if an ice cream scoop can be stylish), but it's thoughtful design and excellent construction will have you reaching for it first whenever you want to scoop some ice cream. A definite five out five stars from me.

I purchased this particular ice cream scoop for a couple of reasons. It was described as "sturdy", it was relatively small in size which, for me, is important because my kitchen drawers are small, and it had two feet which protect the kitchen counter from ice cream messes when you put it down. It is both sturdy and small but the feet still collect lots of ice cream when scooping and don't help at all. Overall, I like the style, small size and sturdiness of this item. Another plus is that it releases the ice cream quite readily.
