I have a much more expensive version of this hat, from a big name brand, and I like this one just fine for my purposes. That is, the brim on this hat isn't going going to be perfectly flat or retain its shape - it isn't going to be "pretty". But....for a bang-around hat, one that can be folded up and carried around, this hat works great. It fits well, can be adjusted with a draw string, is comfortable to wear, and I can beat the crap out of it and not care, because the price is so low.In summary: nice hat - I like it, and it's perfect for my intended use.

My husband wore throughout a month long trip to Vietnam and it held up great. Always looked good and he said very comfortable. Was easy to pack and very lightweight yet provided sufficient sun protection. Color was pretty neutral that he ordered. Chin strap kept it in place on several windy days so that was a bonus.

I didn't want to ruin my favorite everyday hat by packing it in my suitcase, so I bought this hat as my sacrificial travel hat to use while hiking in Banff Canada.It's surprisingly decent for the price:- The brim is generously wider than I expected, so it should do a great job shading me from the sun, especially my ears as others have noted.- The silver color I ordered is visually appealing.- it's very lightweight.Things to note:- As others have noted, it comes folded in half inside a shockingly pencil-thin box. This causes permanent creases on opposite sides of the brim which has kind of a thin foam material feel.- The brim has two seams joining two halves to form the hat. They should fold the hat in half along those two seams instead of folding it randomly, to prevent forming unsightly permanent creases in the smooth parts of the brim.- The creases are not only unsightly, but it also ruins the structural integrity of the brim in those spots, so the brim is kind of floppy where the creases are instead of staying rigid and keeping its shape, which is too bad because they could have avoided this by simply folding along the seams instead.- I tried putting the hat in the dryer for a short time along with a wet bath towel to try to "steam" out the creases...it helped to decrease the appearance of one of the creases, but not the other crease which looks pretty bad and causes that part of the brim to droop.- I am a size 24" noggin, which this adjustable size hat is supposed to accommodate, but i found it to be almost uncomfortably tight. For the price, I'm just going to hope that it stretches out a bit to become more comfortable over time.All things considered though, for the price of under ten bucks, one can't complain too much and it's pretty decent overall. I'd probably buy it again unless something better comes on the market at that same price point.

Exactly as described.I ordered this beige sun hat for my husband.He recently had a heart transplant,and as such needs a whole lot of extra sun protection now due to his medication.he loves how soft and lightweight this hat is,plus it has an adjustable drawstring under the chin.its easy to toss into the wash if it gets dirty,and this protects him from the sun's harmful rays.

It's very large, and you may look a like a goober while you wear it - but it's light weight, foldable, and it'll keep the sun off your face and neck.

... the price was so low I would have kept it, flimsy as it is, but I ordered beige and received pink, so back it went. Probably okay for older folks on a super tight budget in need of something to shade them from the sun while gardening or something, so I added a star for that possibility.It isn't avery good hat aesthetically, BUT it is easy on the head so I added a second star for a total of three at best imo.Addendum. I received notification from Amazon today (7/19/23) thanking me for my review dated 7/19/23.Thing is I reviewed this months ago. Ironically just today a solicitor wearing a hat just like this one "just happened to be in the neighborhood" selling window installations.One such window has been receiving a lot of attention lately, (think gardening). Someone has taken it upon their self to trim the rose bushes to a point of over trimming them.Quite frankly, it looks as though someone is trying to gain access to the inside of my home.I say this because I didn't hire anyone to do work in my yard, but they seem to stop by to tend to the rose bush OBSTRUCTING THE WINDOW some when I am not at home.Las Vegas is such a connected place. There I was thinking nobody likes me. Now I'm learning that a few people like me so much they want to take over my identity altogether. They want to BE me.Holy cow! Isn't that suhum? Whew. This very wide brim, lightweight sun hat is perfect for my outdoor activities. I try to minimize my face and neck sun exposure due to melanoma running in the family.The hat fits perfectly and securely with the xhin strap in place. There are no head adjustments of any kind. The brim resists wind induced bending but is light enough to flex at high wind speeds.The crown is vented allowing cooling air into the hat.To be honest, you do look like a bit of a nerd wearing this hat. The question you must answer is whether feeling a bit nerdish is a reasonable price for melanoma avoidance!
