Great for kids! My 6 year old loves them. My 4 year old can decode them. Everyone has their own version of how to play. We take them with us to restaurants and such, too!

I like the material it seems worthwhile. Bought these so the little ones could be able to do something other than academics. Also, they will be encouraged to recognized different emotions and know it is okay to feel this way. They can also be able to express their emotions and share their experiences feeling these ways.

As a counselor for children, these cards have been a great addition to my collection! My students and I enjoy playing Go Fish, which is just one of the many games you play with these cards. I look forward to exploring additional ways of using these cards with my students.

These tools are employed to support individuals on the autism spectrum in recognizing and understanding emotions, as well as appropriate conduct.

We purchased this as part of a resource box for parents. We haven't had any feedback yet but I believe this is a good way to add in some sel activities

These cards depict 20 different emotions. The emotions are grouped into five core groups: Happy (happy, excited, grateful, confident), Sad (sad, lonely, ashamed, disappointed), Angry (angry, jealous, frustrated, impatient), Scared (scared, shocked, overwhelmed, nervous), and Loved (loved, hopeful, accepted, peaceful), and are color-coded by their card background. Each card also has a corresponding emoji along with the picture. There's a boy card and a girl card for each emotion, and there are two sets of those, so that's how there are 80 cards. There are two Silly cards (a boy and a girl) that serve as "wild cards" during game play. There are also 18 "Recognize and React" cards, which basically show a picture that the child can describe how that person feels, or how that event would make them feel (i.e. a boy holding an empty ice cream cone and a scoop of ice cream on the ground.)The instructions give you ideas for games you can play with these cards and how you can use them. I think that most neurotypical kids will get bored with them pretty quickly. If you have a child that needs to work on emotions and empathy, then you probably have your own ideas of how to use these cards.The cards themselves are sturdy. They are not too busy or visually cluttered. There is a colored background on each card, but it is a muted color so it shouldn't distract too much from the main picture. The situational "react" cards may be a little difficult for kids to figure out what is going on, but this is probably not something that they would be doing alone. All of the lettering, pictures, and emojis are consistently in the same places on each card.Overall, I think this is a great set of emotion cards. There are lots of possibilities for application. This is a great tool to add to your toolbox.

The quality of the cards is fair to good, perhaps prone to bends/folds but less to tears, so should be semi-durable in little hands. The value is in the content - both in breaking down primary feelings into slightly more complex ones (example - the angry cards have subcategories of jealous, frustrated and impatient), but also with the inclusion of situational cards (showing pictures which prompt story-telling and feelings ID/discussion). It comes with a small booklet that suggests use of the cards in a number of activities, including some children are already familiar with, such as a variation on 'Go Fish'. Most teachers or therapists have the imagination to devise their own activities with the raw materials based on the age and preferences of the child, and these are a great starting point for getting creative. I would recommend these cards be primarily used with children between the ages of three and eight (though they are perhaps ideally suited for K-2nd grade students). Great tool for talking about emotions for every toddler or preschooler! Absolute must for anyone who wants to teach your child explore his emotions and discuss about various situations what they felt.
