These really bite (into the wood)
These screw in easily without a pilot hole and really pull the wood tight. I prefer the bolt head, but these are better for flush mounting behind joists and such.

Great screw
Perfect for outdoor wood projects. Connecting wood to wood is the best use for this item.

Great Screw
I want something to hold down my 2x6 deck boards on my deck. THEY ARE IT. Enough though these are made to be driven without a pile hole, I DID NOT. I always do pilot holes for critical stuff. Have less problems with a board lifting away from a board I am mount to. I know I am Anal (perfectionist). But I want it to last a lifetime or more, I hate shotty workmanship. There are TWO pluses to this screw, one is the large head on it, better than those traditional deck (bugle head) screws where it splits the wood some of the time. And after two years, the deck boards are still tight. The second in their pull and shear strength, especially if you need to tied down something heavy on the trailer. Screws on the deck are just as important as D-rings and your straps.

Lag screw
These were great for building a patio. They really cinch the wood together well and seems structurally well made

Nice, looks great
I used these to attach my beam -to-posts for my garden entry. Look good, but too deep for 4 x 6’s. I should have purchased shorter lags, but I angled the lags slightly and it worked out.
