Screen legends Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins deliver sensational, Oscar-winning performances in this spellbinding thriller based on the bestselling novel by Thomas Harris (Red Dragon, Hannibal). A psychopath nicknamed Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine, Heat) is murdering women across the Midwest. Believing it takes one to know one, the FBI sends trainee Clarice Starling (Foster, The Accused) to interview a demented prisoner who may provide clues to the killer’s actions. That prisoner is psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Hopkins, Nixon), a brilliant, diabolical cannibal who agrees to help Starling only if she’ll feed his morbid curiosity with details of her own complicated life. As their relationship develops, Starling is forced to confront not only her own hidden demons, but also an evil so powerful that she may not have the courage—or strength—to stop it! This terrifying masterpiece co-starred Scott Glenn (The Challenge) and garnered five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director for Jonathan Demme (Philadelphia) and Best Adapted Screenplay for Ted Tally (Before and After), only the third film in history to sweep these five categories.Special Features:DISC 1 (4K UHD):• HDR Dolby Vision• NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian Tim Lucas• 5.1 Surround & 2.0 Lossless Stereo• Optional English Subtitles• UHD 100 Triple Layer DiscDISC 2 (Blu-ray):• NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian Tim Lucas• Inside the Labyrinth: Documentary (66:28)• Page to Screen: Documentary (41:17)• Understanding the Madness: Featurette (19:35)• Scoring the Silence: Featurette (16:00)• Original 1991 Making-of Featurette (8:07)• Jonathan Demme and Jodie Foster Interviews (52:30)• Deleted Scenes (38:00)• Outtakes (2:00)• Anthony Hopkins Phone Message (:30)• TV Spots• Theatrical Teaser• Theatrical Trailer• Hannibal Trailer• 5.1 Surround & 2.0 Lossless Stereo• Optional English Subtitles• Dual-Layered BD50 Disc Review: Anthony Hopkins at his finest ! Still a Masterpiece!
I first watched The Silence of the Lambs in the theater when it was originally released, and recently, my 20-year-old son asked me to watch it with him. Decades later, it’s still just as gripping, intense, and brilliantly acted as I remembered. Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins deliver incredible performances—Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter is chillingly unforgettable, and Foster’s portrayal of Clarice Starling is both strong and vulnerable. The psychological tension, the smart storytelling, and the eerie atmosphere make this film as powerful today as it was when it first came out. It has aged incredibly well. If you’ve never seen it, you’re in for a thrilling experience. And if you have? Trust me, it’s worth revisiting! A true cinematic masterpiece.

Essential 4K
Transfer is just perfect — especially the Dolby Vision master! Looks authentically filmic through my Sony UBP-X1100ES player to my Sony Bravia 9. I should note the first copy I got wasn't reading, but the seller quickly shipped me a replacement — no questions asked. Top notch service!

Why this Movie is Scary for a Non-Obvious Reason
I am often drawn towards media (books + movies) where the main/supporting character is the opposite of the stereotypical norm. Characters that push against societal assumptions of a type of person/persons. EX: all pedophiles are creepy old men, all serial killers are antisocial, et cetera. I like this movie because not only is there a strong female role but there’s also a charming, smart antagonist. It’s actually scarier that he’s so charismatic because you can’t help but be drawn to him. It makes you question your own morals. - My Letterboxd: @crisp_leaves

Terrifyingly Brilliant
I watched this on my own and frightened myself to death. I haven’t seen Mr. Tiddles in weeks — I think he’s still under the bed. A masterpiece of suspense and psychology. Every scene grips you tighter, and even when it’s over, you can’t quite relax. Hopkins and Foster are extraordinary — calm, intelligent terror at its finest. Watch it once and you’ll start locking the doors twice.

La calidad de video mejora, 4k respecto al DVD, el film original parece que uso grano grueso (en cuanto a calidad fotográfica). En efecto NO tiene doblaje NI subtítulos al español. Tendré que practicar más el inglés. Para mí vale la pena.
