This game is not co-operative!!!
I don't know who wrote the blurb for this entry but Diplomacy is not a co-operative game in the sense of that word in terms of modern board gaming. Diplomacy is a fiercely competitive and often backstabbing game as each player seeks to win. Cooperation between players does occur but not in the sense of all players having a common goal as in pandemic or games like Forbidden Island.
