Retique It is a game changer!
My go to product when my redesigning furniture projects that have unfortunate issues with wood surfaces. It’s not a restoration product but it I can develop a new surface with a ton of creative possibilities especially with the trends leaning toward wood finishes. Salvaging quality vintage pieces starts with a good base. Retique It has expanded the playing field.

You need this in your life.
I absolutely love this product! The pictures I attached are of two different projects both done with bleached wood. This product breathes life into pieces that you want to refinish but aren't real wood. It can also be used on wood. Projects where the veneer isn't in good enough shape to stain. There are Facebook groups and YouTube videos to show you how to use this. It's a game changer.

Really looks like wood!
This stuff really works and looks like wood when you stain it. It doesn't take stain like raw wood, so you have to let the stain dry overnight before putting on a top coat, but over all it works great and really does look like real wood! I also tried the light wood and liked it even better.

Great product
Beautiful bleached wood. Easy to work with. Used it on manufactured wood top kitchen island. Took away that artificial golden wooden look.

Contents arrived separated!!
Purchased this about a month ago for a future project. Had it stored in my pantry where is was cool... Opened it today to use and completely unusable!!! It had to have arrived this way. It look like it is old and has separated. See photo below. My return window has now expired and I'm stuck with a $35 product I can't use.

AMAZING STUFF!!!
I have dreams of refinishing my table (golden oak aka outdated) and bought this to practice. I bought two colors Bleached Wood and Light Wood. I have never used this product before, until Saturday (today is Monday). I put on one layer of Bleached Wood and let it dry (1-1.5hrs) and put a layer of Light Wood on. I used a graining tool (SO EASY!!) and let it dry. After it dried I used 3 different color stains (I'm crazy). This is what I got. This was a thrift store find that is that white plastic-y covered particle board stuff. NOW, it looks like wood. Remember I have never used this before! I've never even stained wood. So easy to use. It is on the pricey side though. I'm going to try it out on a board to get all sorts of different options before I attempt my table.ETA: pictures of my table. I love this stuff! I used Kona Rustoleum gel stain on the table. RetiqueIt gel stain in Java on my chair seats.

Very runny
Did the formula change on this? This one was VERY runny. Unfortunately, had to return and use something completely different to finish off my project.
