We acquired two of these items to help our 85 Kg Irish Wolfhound / Mastiff cross after cruciate ligament surgery. He is obviously not the kind of dog you can just pick up and carry. Although after a couple of weeks he is moving without help (we are having to discourage him to a degree) initially we used two, front and back to help him up and down steps that are front and back of the house. He was too big to close the velcro fastening but they were strong enough to take his weight and allow him to get out of the house to pee. If you and your dog are unfortunate enough to need this sort of item I fully recommend them.

Used for a Great Dane with bad hip problems. Starts to bunch up under his belly after a while, the handles kept sticking to the velcro when you stop and let go for him to have a brief sniff and then the handles fall underneath the dog. If you are not careful the dog can urinate on it so placement on initial fitting is important and then you have to constantly monitor it. I stopped using it for outdoor use and only used it as a moving aid inside the house.

Didn't work well for our dog as he is large and found it difficult to go to the toilet, but am sure good for other dogs
