A must have book for anyone interested in vintage sewing machines. Unlike many books on the subject that focus on the rare and unattainable museum pieces. This book covers the type of machine that anyone can obtain for just a few £'s and restore to their former glory. Connie McCaffery certainly knows her stuff and this shows throughout the book. Full of tips and tricks that even the seasoned collector will find useful. I highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in VSM's.

I do not know how this booklet got such good reviews...unless they are American buyers I personally did not find it at all interesting or useful as most of the websites quoted are useless or expired USA or could have found myself on google

Great book for the sewing/ sewing machine enthusiast. If your machine is vintage, all the better,. Information on cleaning, maintaining and repairing. Lots of information and photo's so you can see what you should be looking for. There's information long term storing & even packing and transporting your machine so that it won't get damaged in the process. Ideal for when moving or even buying or selling over the internet or eBay.

This is a self publish book which covers basic service as well as advanced rewiring for a motor. The paper quality is not the best, but then this is controlled by Amazon. Overall this is a great book to start you overhauling your new renovation project.
