A Dog A Day: 365 dog portraits

I’m so in love with this book!The book is amazing quality, thick hardcover fabric feel cover with lovely thick pages.I’m so pleased with the quality and the illustrations inside are beautiful!I’ll be having this as a side table book it’s so beautiful though I don’t want people to touch 😄(Delivery was fabulous, well packaged in a cardboard sleeve and was with me within 24 hours!)

Absolutely gorgeous

Such a wonderful little book. My daughter was beyond delighted. Sally is a very talented artist and her pictures of dogs large and small are enchanting.

Lovely illustrations in different styles. Should be on every dog lovers coffee table.Bought for presents but will get one for myself.

We first saw Sally Muir's artwork on plates at Anthropologie. I bought the Whippet plate for my wife as part of her Christmas gift. Anthropologie also has the book as well, but I decided to order it on Amazon instead. It is nice.Hopefully we see more of Sally's artwork!

Libro molto bello, carta di qualità, bei colori. Formato un po' piccino, quasi tascabile, ma le pagine sono molte e in formato più grande sarebbe risultato forse troppo imponente. Tecniche di ogni dipinto specificate, informazione interessante per un artista che voglia capire i materiali usati per realizzare questi piacevolissimi ritratti.

The artwork is great. The Amazon description is misleading in some ways. There are 238 credited works, leading up to 365 dogs. One illustration has 59 dog figures. My other gripe is the size. It's less than half a sheet of paper, about the size of a diary. I didn't notice dimensions before ordering, and I'm okay with that. I think it deserves to be a bigger book and would pay more for a coffee table version. I'm sure there are multiple reasons for the choice of size.The artwork is great. The color reproduction seems accurate. Some pieces you can see the raised medium of the original piece.Overall, a great buy and definitely recommended. I'd say 4.75 stars, definite 5 if it was larger.
