Poorer quality paper than previous editions
I have been buying these for several years, working my way through the series. So I have lots of experience with these volumes. The paper used for this one is MUCH poorer quality: it’s coarser and thinner. I could live with coarser, but thinner means that the grids show through, so that you can see the black squares behind the puzzle you’re currently doing. This just adds to the eye strain (which is already bad from the smaller print in the clues that they switched to a few volumes back). It’s a good thing that the puzzles themselves remain high quality, or I’d just give up on the books altogether. It’s a shame that a top-notch business like the New York Times puts out such a shoddy physical product!!

Font unreadable
They've lowered the font size to the point where you need a magnifying glass to read it. And I've got great vision.

Repeats
Nothing but repeats of other issues. Same puzzles, different covers.
