Really happy with this. Have a giant back yard tent and it gets HOT in there. Bay Area California has low humidity so it works perfect here. 95 degrees out and I can keep the 120sq ft tent at ~76 easily (output at unit is 67-68 degrees). 90 or below and the tent stays 72-73 degrees. Build quality of this evap cooler is really nice. Well thought out design. Controls work great, the swing function is nice to cover a large area with cold air. I also appreciate how quiet the unit is even at high speed. The automatic fill with garden hose is great to keep it going all day, week, month long. From opening the unit up, it is nice to see that it should be servicable in future in case you need to replace the evap pads, pump, etc. I also want to point out I had a little issue when mine arrived and support immediately helped me out and got me the part needed to fix. Great to know they have good customer service! Couple tips for those new to evap coolers: If you live in high humidity, this may not work well for you. But if low humidy, you'll be loving the cool refreshing air. I tend to find that evap coolers work better right in front of a window sucking in hot dry air. Make sure you have something open on the other side to allow ventilation. Ice isn't needed. I never notice any difference with ice. Once it runs for a while, the water becomes super cold anyways. You may need to run for ~30 min for it to get maximum cooling. I also recommend using a calcium filter on a hose to prevent build up. You will be very happy with this unit.

First off, I want to say I'm extremely happy with the unit itself. It works as advertised. I upgraded to this one having a smaller unit - and what drew me in was the ability to fill the 9.2 gallon tank via a hose connection vs. slowly filling from the top which is the only way I could fill the other one I had. There are 3 fan levels, a cold on/off, a natural wind feature which varies the speed of the fans to mimic a real-world breezes. The only drawback is the included ice-packs. They leaked and are not well made. Granted the manufacturer did send me new ones at no charge, but they barely lasted a week before leaking as well (when I say leaking I open my freezer and see the frozen liquid that is meant to be inside it, crystalized on top as it's broken through a seam). The ice-packs are needed if as they chill the water especially if you have the Cold option selected, but the machine would work perfectly without them albeit the water would just be at the normal temperature. Also, the included remote control doesn't have a very good range -- its probably perfect if you're near the machine but I have this on my back patio and from inside the house through a big pane window, the unit doesn't respond. If I could give this a 4.5/5 star rating I would. I feel bad putting 4 stars because of just the ice-pack issue (I found better quality ones on Amazon), but it didn't feel right leaving 5 stars either. Overall I'm happy with my purchase now that I have ice-packs that won't leak.

Outstanding! We live in Phoenix and do not ever want to use our AC due to insane costs! Ever WITH solar panels! This dude kicks out plenty of cool air to keep us comfortable. Added bonus is the relaxing sound of water trickling through the system! Very relaxing! It's portable and easy yo move on it's wheels. Eventually I think I will get another for the bedroom! Just because. We love the calming sound of the fan, but it's not that loud! Update: thank God we live in Phoenix! The humidity this beast produces is insane!

It might provide some heat relief outside but inside it only increases the humidity. Our A/C broke down last summer, so, while waiting for a new one, I ordered this thing. After like an hour working on full blast, it did manage to lower the room temperature by about 2 degrees (Fahrenheit) but at the same time increased the room humidity from about 30% to about 80%. So, you start with a hot room, you end up with a hot and humid room. Returned, of course. And the refund took *ages* too - weeks. As I said, it might be somewhat useful outside in the heat, because of the water vapor, but definitely not working inside.

We have been enjoying having this cooler for our den area on hot days. Electricity is very expensive here in California. So we do suffer by not running AC often. This cooler is effective for one room area mostly. But I love the portability of it and can take it to any room. It was a good little investment to ease the pain of heat and electric bill.

Oh I recommend this Portable Swamp Cooler. I bought one 10 years ago to help cut prices and stay cool. This is priced well and does twice the job. I have it in the hallway and it cools the Both sides ofthe whole house there, I do keep the back bedroom doors closed on hot days until night time it is very easy to move around. I sometimes move it from one end of the house to the other no problem seeing where it's most effective. I can run it with just the fan and it works great.it came with ice packs you can freeze and reuse. My House stays about 82 Degrees. The Bigger Swamp cooler runs 105 Watts and the little one runs 70 Watts.So they have made big improvements. Amazon allowed 3 payments on this no credit approval. Very Happy

Easy to move so I roll it to the kitchen to fill the reservoir. Holds enough water for a long time period. Cools the apartment perfectly. I live in a hard water location so the recommended "empty reservoir every week and add fresh water" should be done faithfully. 900 sq ft apartment, open plan and it cools most of the main area down. I have it set on the lowest setting of three and it works great.

Excelente producto!!!, en mi caso lo uso para enfriar una habitación sin ventanas de 5.20 x 3.10 metros baja la temperatura de 32° a 21° lo cual si es una gran diferencia, si puedes hacerle la instalación a un contenedor de agua que este ala sombra ayuda muchísimo, sobre los packs de gel te recomiendo comprar varios ya que los que trae de fabrica no te dan el suficiente abasto ya que se gastan 1 x 40 min si el agua no esta fresca, yo compre 4 extra búscalos aqui en amazon como - Heytrip Ice Packs for Cooler - y rellénalos con el gel azul refrigerante son de la medida y de buen material, sobre su uso en exteriores no es que se quede corto sino que su función se ve desperdiciada ya que tendrías que ponértelo directo todo el tiempo a nomas de 1.60 metros Puedes encadenar flujo de aire con el pero quisa quieras algo mas avanzado si lo que deseas es enfriar cuartos muy grandes, para un uso personal o movil es muy eficiente de buen material y ademas no eh visto problemas de humedad sobre su garantía o mantenimiento, es muy fácil y te venden los repuestos aqui en amazon, para la limpieza de el conducto de agua te recomiendo el cepillo con alambre con el que se limpian los conductos fluviales de auto, además tuve un problema con una pieza y el soporte post venta fue muy amable y soluciono con rapidez mi problema (n.n) Solo debes recordar en invierno desconectarle la toma de agua y vaciar su tanque para evitar estancamientos y malos olores, si lo vas a usar en una sala o salón de tu hogar te recomiendo una extensión eléctrica de exteriores ya que lo vas a andar moviendo por todos lados es muy practico y es genial para ventilar lugares con aromas condensados. sin duda es una gran alternativa si no quieres poner un sistema de aire a condicionado y no puedes dañar el lugar donde te encuentras.

Dos dias funcionando perfecto. Enfria bien, buen depósito de agua (tiene control interno flotador para llenado con manguera) controles intuitivos incluye adaptador de manguera (quick connect de la foto no incluye se lo puse yo) y tapon para vaciado. Ligero y facil de posicionar, silencioso excepto en maxima potencia. Disculpe lo sucio de fotos estuvo afuera varios dias, llega bien embalado y protegido con manual y control remoto (no trae baterias)

I was looking for a way to cool the rooms in my appartment that don't have windows and can't have a real AC unit. Now I wasn't expecting a miracle with an evaporative cooler, it doesn't feel like it's making the room temperature much lower. The best way to describe it is it feels like it's blowing out cold wind when you're near the sea. It definitely is refreshing and cold. It's better to see it as a cold blowing fan than an AC that will cool down the room. I've let it run for about 2 hours in a room with the door opened. When I entered the room again, I instantly felt the high level of humidity. It will definitely raise the humidity in your house. It is also a bit noisier than I expected even on the lowest fan setting. Overall, I can't judge it compared to an AC because it is not what this is. So for an evaporative cooler, it is definitely efficient. The wind power is strong, the design is nice even though it is a bit big, the air feels cold instantly. I will never use it outside but I feel like it would be its best use. Overall pretty nice product!
