Proved useful and effective on date of receipt by fixing grind errors on a small recurve with serrations and also using the flat edge to clean up some scissors. Wish I knew the grit but they seem more like coarse and less coarse with the serration part a medium grit. Useful purchase I would recommend as a back up to a real sharpening system or finer grits for finishing.Got it mainly for some serrated blades and a couple "kukri" style curved blades. Works well but a bit rough for fine work. Good in a pinch but you may need to "finish" with something else.
