No diode, or any circuit board inside mag lock. Very cheap quality
To be honest, pretty good mad lock, as far as quality goes.Performance wise, not so great.

Ease of installation to keep job price down
Ive been fitting magnets and brackets for yrs. Fixing centres on this one a different orientation from otbers ive used. Well know brand names ive used and fixings all been the same.
