Expensive but does a lot
This replaces a 12 year old Davis Vantage Pro 2 where the ISS simply fell prey to age and weather. Differences include the new ISS (integrated sensor suite) having bird spikes to discourage birds from landing on the rain bucket and leaving messes and a redesigned tip sensor for measuring rain.I really enjoy using the new WeatherLink console. The original Vantage Pro 2 receiver is still compatible. There is one annoyance with the new WeatherLink console: it frequently loses outside humidity readings. I expect it's a firmware issue as the Vantage Pro 2 display continues to display valid readings for humidity when the WeatherLink console shows dashes. It is nice being able to read wind speed in 10ths of MPH or KPH. Wind speed is still updated every 2½ seconds. Updating is very reliable, even in high winds unlike cheaper weather stations that update every 18 seconds or longer that frequently miss updating for extended times. The moon phase is easier to read and more instinctive to interpret in the WeatherLink display than the older Vantage Pro 2. Having sunrise and sunset times is a plus for me.Graphing is greatly improved, and there's plenty of memory for the history.Setup takes a few steps , but it really is a breeze, it can locate itself as long as you have Internet connectivity (WiFi). Time and date is automatic. You will need to set which ISS or transmitter(s) you're monitoring as well as any installed options such as ultraviolet etc. It will also need to know which channel(s) to monitor. You can set up a WeatherLink account to check remotely and share your weather conditions with others if you want. Note that the name you assign the console is what others see if you share your weather. Note also that if you share your weather, your location is shown on the map. You can still view your own weather remotely even if you don't share it publicly. If you have another WeatherLink system online at another location linked to your WeatherLink account, you can view it with a swipe of the screen. The console can connect to any 5V phone type power supply. It also has built in battery backup. I set power saving to turn off the display after a minute in case the power fails. Tap the display to turn it on for a minute (or whatever time you want). There are two mounting options. It has desk stand and wall mount attachments. There is a lot more, but hopefully I've mentioned the main highlights.

Super accurate, easy setup
Excellent pro grade weather station, my neighbor has a similar model and the data amazingly matches up daily with mine so they are very accurate. A bit pricey but this seems like it will last, my neighbor has had his for 8 trouble free years. Love being able to monitor station ftom phone, ipad or the monitor it comes with. Highly recommended!

My second one....
The first one lasted around 17-18 years through typically bad SE Texas weather and at least one hurricane per year—sometimes more. My groundwater sensors died a year or so ago, but for the last six months, the Station has still come to life when the sun was shining. I feel that I got my money's worth and my new station will outlast me. Happily, the new station communicates with the two old consoles I had, so my wife got the new one and she's happy too. It's a great product!

Dead on arrival
I read the reviews and decided that this is the quality weather station I want. I'm tired of buying new every 2 to 3 years with brand L. It arrives, well packaged. Got it set up and nothing from the Advantage Vue 2 on the console. Turns out the transmitter on the wireless transmitter was faulty. Davis is replacing it for no charge but there was an info sheet on how QC has tested everything. Right. Basically another week without. The vendor was great, arrived sooner that promised, well packaged at the best price I could find. They get 5 stars. Davis, not so much.Update: Transmitter replaced. Console is junk. Walk 30 feet away and the signal strength drops to poor. They are sending me a new console. I have my doubts that this will fix all the issues.I can NOT recommend this product. I suspect this will be going back.

Complete, and easy to set up
The system contained everything needed to install and begin to use. It was easy to install and easy to get integrated into our home systems.

Works well but not the range expected
I replaced an old Vantage Vue with the Pro2. I wanted to locate the Pro2 in a wetland area about 700 feet from the house where the console is located. Although there are trees between the sensors and the house I can still see the sensors from the window where the console is located. The product specs indicated up to 1000 ft (line of sight) range between the sensors and console unit, however, I couldn't get a viable signal from the sensors and the console. So I purchased a repeater, located it about 300 ft from the sensors (400 ft from the house), and now get a good signal. So, my only complaint is the specs advertising a range up to 1000 ft. My recommendation to anyone siting their sensors more than 500 ft from the console is to also purchase the repeater as well. Setup for both was simple.

Easy install, but battery was low/dead on arrival
Easy to assemble and mount on 1-1/2" steel pole. Hardest part of job was digging a 4' deep hole and setting the 12' post. Does not appear to wobble in wind. Readout on remote screen is large enough to read/observe from a distance of 15'. Base station is communicating via wireless from distance of around 150' with no lost connection or signal interruption. My only complaint is that the chinese 123a battery was dead/weak upon arrival. For this kind of money, use a Duracell or Energizer for Pete's sake!

Great Gift
I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband and he loves it! The screen is easy to read and he can also see everything that’s going on weather wise from an app on his phone.
